- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Because it has a good rank in NIRF. It is nearest NIT from my hometown. In my state it is one of best college Iever seen. The facilities are provided not that great but it is satisfied. The food which provided by our mess is familiar with my culture.

This is one of top 7 NITs. It's a very prestigious college and the placement is good here too. The college campus is really nice and the infrastructure is top class. The college environment, fest Jim and all other things are provided by this college.

NIT durgapur is having one of the best faculty in the field of mechanical engineering with highest no. Of professor. And it's located near CMERI which is best research institute for mechanical students.Therefore it was the best institute for mechanical graduate

I got this college as a best choice according to her mains score. I opted because this college is top in my list according to my score in jee mains. The thing I like most about it is it's campus is beautiful, and environment is good.

As in nits chemical engineering in this college is best and I am very found of chemistry and wants to do something great over there and I also didn't get IITs because of my low score in IIT advance examination so I choose this college

Tier 1 College, Good Placement Records, NIT Durgapur was applicable for admission through DASA Quota for Gulf Countries, I also had passion for pursuing a career as a Software Engineer in the future

It is a hub of academic as well as co-curricular activities. The students here are well versed with their subjects and streams as well as the overall placements at the end of four year term are considerably wonderful.

As per JEE Rank, this was the best college which I would have got. I got chances in state govt colleges but opted out after first round of counselling since I got into NIT Durgapur. As ranking of NIT Durgapur was better than these state govt colleges, I decided to join NIT Durgapur, a college of national importance.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
