Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.

Dislikes

We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Very good college

Remarks:

No negative remarks about the college. The college have very sound environment in the campus so that the students get attached with their studies and also other co-curricular activities. The faculty members are also very good.

Remarks:

Firstly for what i preferred this college than others is this is a smoke free campus. And also student teacher relationship is quite good here. The worst part of our college is the network connection here. It's really bad. We can't even load a link in our hostel premises.

Remarks:

In our college in an academic year there are very less holidays. There is a positive side of our college there is political issue in our campus. The food of the canteens and the playgrounds auditoriums are very good.

College life at Nit Dgp

Remarks:

Not much. The college is an esteemed government college. Gives you a name and fame as well. So it's more than you need. But it's Lil bit too slow in its placement criteria. The infrastructure for placement cell. Still is not well developed.

NIT DURGAPUR is a nice platform for who hardworks and discipline

Admission:

In 12th we had an entrance exam JEE MAINS in that I got 12068 all India rank. I am interested in CSE, IT and ECE. For that rank, I will get IT here but unfortunately, IT was removed in this college and they combined those with CSE.SO I took ECE here

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur

Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
