IIM Sirmaur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

For the SIP, the students become eligible after mid semesters is over. For Final Placement, 132 companies participated for 2020-21; out of 112 students, 100 got placed, one went for entrepreneurship, and 11 opted out. Companies that participated and offered were ICICI Prudential, ICICI Bank, Infosys, EY, DCM Shriram, Aditya Birla Capital, Tech Mahindra, HDFC Bank, Collegedunia, IndiaMart, Byjus, etc. The highest package offered was 16 Lakhs per annum, and the average package was 11.2 - 12.4 Lakhs per annum. 89.3% of students got placed. I plan to apply for a suitable job role from the campus itself and grow my career with the company's growth.

From the end of 1st term students become eligible to search and seat for campus placements , Average placement of summers was 25000 and the highest was 100,000 , many companies visited like Hyatt , etc. 100 % placement was recorded.

Internships are provided through the Institute after the first year and the process begins during the beginning of Winters. Also, for the placement, Institute has a specialized committee that handles all the placement related queries.

Location, Esteemed faculty, reviews on college dunia, on campus facilities, registration process was well organized and everything including the document verification, hostel room allocation went smoothly.

I chose this college because it is one of the premier b schools and the location and environment is also great. The IIM itself has a brand and I dreamt of studying in premier b schools. The results of the CAT will be announced by january and WAT/PI will be conducted and overall results will be announced in MAY and admission process will start

I choose IIM over other private colleges because of the quality of teaching and lifestyle as well as the corporate world look up to it. And while comparing IIM Sambalpur, Bodh Gaya, Jammu and Sirmaur, few parameters such as placements, fees, faculty etc were all the same i.e. baby IIMs. I went for IIM Sirmaur because comparatively it has better infrastructure and facilities as well as peaceful scenic view location - I mean the Himalayas obviously. I connected with the seniors and alumni of the college on social media to get more info. Seniors, especially media cell members, helped me a lot in the admission process and onboarding.

After 3 terms students are eligible for final placements. Many companies visited the campus for final placements. Generally, 97-99% of students get their placements. My plan is to work in an MNC to grow as an investment banker.

There is a placement committee, which takes care of all the placement process. In the summer placement, everyone got placed. And there are varieties of companies that visit our campus. One can get an average package of around 10 LPA easily.

From what I have heard the placement season sees offers from the best of companies and the entire batch is placed hands down. Since the college is still in its booming years, the companies visiting the campus have only been increasing and improving over the years.

The placements are very good. Almost all the students are placed and the placement is almost assured given you follow the strict protocols of the Placement committee. The candidate also has to be well prepared to grab better offers.
