IIM Sirmaur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students are eligible for placements from the fourth term itself when they return from the summer internships. The highest package for the last year was 64 lakh rupees. The placement was 100 per cent for our batch.

My college does provide placement and placements are going up every year. Students become eligible from the 4th semester itself for campus placements. The highest package was of 64 Lakh per annum and last year there were mainly financial roles. Almost all the students get placed.

Placements are good, it is growing and getting better. Since it is a new iim, it is gaining recognition. This year on average people got offers of 16 lakh p.a. It is increasing gradually every year. Better companies are visiting campus.

Our college provides campus placements and 10% of the batch is placed every year. Some big names visit our campus for placements. Students get a chance to enter a field of their own choice as offers are made for almost every domain.

From the 4 th trimester in the second year, the students will be able to sit for the placements. Mostly we have around 100% placements. But then a few students opt out of the process for various reasons and some students go for some startups.

I enrolled for the Master in Business Administration Course which was great. The faculty here is a good mixture of enthusiasm and experience. While some professors are academics oriented, a lot many prepare you for the corporate life that lies ahead of you. And if you are someone who wants to pursue entrepreneurship, do not worry. Many of our professors have prior entrepreneurship experience as well and would be more than happy to guide you.

The institute has a placement committee that oversees the summer internships and final placements. The placement opportunities are open to all students. The students must apply for the opportunities that they are interested in. The institute provides placement to all the students. The placement process begins in the 2nd year of the course. Highly respectable and prestigious companies take up students from this institute, including ICICI, HDFC, EY, Volvo, Eicher, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. The average package offered was Rs. 12.74 lacs and the highest package was Rs. 26.5 lacs (2022). After the degree, I plan to get a management job in Finance analytics.

Students are eligible for placements from Term 1. Unfortunately, under the NDA agreement signed with the placement committee, I cannot discuss the companies and their offers. Be assured that the placement committee will ensure that they place each and every student with respectable packages. My plan after completing my master's from IIM Sirmaur is to work in the field of operations. Good opportunities for operations do come for us from the industries.

Campus placement starts from the second year onwards. It means the fourth trimester. The package is decent and the mean is about 14 lakhs. So many good companies are coming for campus placements and we have a 100% placement record throughout. Student skills and past experiences matter most in the process of placement.

Summer Internships were excellent for this batch, and the final placements also crossed the previous year's average. Some very good industrial relations were established this year, which could mean significant growth in the mean and median numbers as well as better and larger organizations coming for the campus placements.
