IIM Sirmaur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students become eligible in the fourth semester. A lot of companies visit and a lot of offers are made. Each year the number increases. Highest Package: 26.5lpa. Average package: 12.74lpa. 100 percent of students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to enter the corporate and carry on from there.

There are 100 percent placements, both summer and final. The highest placement for the 20-22 batch was 26.5 LPA and the average stood at 12.74 LPA. There have been international placements of 64 LPA for the year 21-23. However, the placement record is not yet released for the 21-23 batch.

Students receive a quality placement as this year's average package is around 12 lakhs and a number of organisations participated in the placement drive. This year's highest package is around 34 lakhs, and approximately 12-14 students received international offers as well. The placement season begins in approximately September, and students receive a quality placement. In addition, this programme offers a placement rate of one hundred per cent.

The placements are very decent. Our placement team works very hard and day to night for bringing good companies to our college and place every student who is part of the IIM Sirmaur family. There will be ample opportunity for the students to get placed.

Students at IIM Sirmaur become eligible for campus placements from their fourth semester. Some of the companies that have visited IIM Sirmaur in the past include Deloitte, Tata Steel, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Ernst & Young, ICICI Bank, Amazon, and many more. The number of offers made by these companies varies from year to year and depends on various factors such as the job market, the performance of the students, and the requirements of the companies. The average package for 2023 is 14.75 lakhs per annum, while the highest package is 27 lakhs per annum. The profiles offered can vary from finance, marketing, operations, human resources, and many more. The percentage of students getting placed at IIM Sirmaur also varies from year to year and depends on various factors such as the job market, the performance of the students, and the requirements of the companies. After completing their degree at IIM Sirmaur I plan to join a corporate firm.

The placements at the institute are getting better and better each year. This year the institute saw a YoY growth of 29% in terms of the average package. An above-average student is satisfied with the placements.

Campus placements are good. For a full-time summer internship which is mandatory for first-year studenst to enter the second year of course, the process starts in the month of July or August and last until late March. The average stipend for SIP is around Rs.40,000-45,000. The students who perform well in internships get Pre Placement offers from the companies they worked at, they do not need to apply for new companies when final placements start. Students who do not get PPO can sit for final placements which also start in term 4 of the course.

The current director, Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri has worked with IIM Calcutta and IIM Trichy in the past. He is highly committed towards the growth of the institute. The faculties are highly qualified and experienced professionals from renowned institutes across the world. The institute also has multiple visiting faculties from other IIMs. The PGP office and staff are approachable, supportive, and willing to assist the students with any administrative or academic concerns. The institute offers fully residential, 2-year MBA and MBA Tourism along with a PhD. Students can opt for a major in domains like marketing, strategy, finance, operations etc.
