The overall faculty of the fine arts department is satisfactorily good.
The seats are good in the class is a good strength projector good stuff there is people always helping each other.
To be honest amity university kolkata gives placement very well.

Dislikes

Food are not good and healthy sometime can cause food poisoning
Transportation could be problematic due to the college's location off the main route, leading delays and inconvenience for students commuting to and from campus.
The biggest con for the hostel student is they are not allowed to go out during weekdays. This becomes highly inconvenient in some situations and also during some emergency.

Review of Amity

Likes

Teacher are real nice . They are very helpful. Very friendly
Whole campus is under CCTV. They don't have any black spot
Security gards and other works very helpful and friendly

Dislikes

Their wifi does not work properly. Their network is very poor
Inside the campus some food are not that nice
Inside the washroom some flush does not work properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

The nicest thing is you can do research paper. The syllable is prepared well. They should provide more exposure in psychology. They should take their student to industry visits. In one semester they conduct 2 exams 1 is internal and 1 is externals. They make the question paper within tge syllable their is no out of syllable questions.

Student of the year college!

Likes

Infrastructure of the campus is beautiful
The canteen food is good and affordable and tasty
It has Cafe Coffee Day and an ATM inside the campus

Dislikes

Some lectures from few professors are so boring and worthless that we never understood anything and never got the chance to learn

Placement Experience:

Firstly, the campus not only provides us with the opportunity to get offers from India but also from abroad, we were able to start taking internships from 2nd year onwards but I started working from 1st year and it gave me practical based experience and knowledge and a lot to learn.

My Bachelor's experience at Amity University Kolkata

You will not experience any sort of bullying or ragging that is frowned upon and students who do not abide by it are taken with serious measures.
The floors can go over level 15, and there are 4 lifts in each building with a capacity of over 10 people pee round, and they are super fast as well.
Huge variety of clubs open to students to take part in as a part of curriculum like management, dance, debate, sports.

Dislikes

There can be a sense of favouritism as per as events are taken into consideration. Only your extreme social manners can save you

Placement Experience:

Students are offered placements in the final year of their course mainly. There are internships that can be taken through the course years. However, our batch wasn't given any internship/placement opportunity. After getting the degreez I pursued my master's in english from Shri Shikshayatan college in Kolkata under the University of Calcutta

Everything you need to know before enrolling yourself in Amity University, Kolkata.

Likes

The infrastructure is world class, one of the best in the city. All rooms in the campus have central AC.
Amity gets you prepared for the real world out there through continuous evaluation, exposure and assignments in the form of presentations. Getting used to MS Word and PowerPoint will definitely be a plus point for your corporate life.
The best part about being an Amitian is that it has 17 over seas campuses. You get a worldly recognition.

Dislikes

One of the biggest drawbacks, of being a student at Amity, is its strictness with attendance. Once you fall short of 75% attendance, no matter what, you won’t be allowed to sit for end semester exams.
If you hate paperwork, Amity isn’t the one for you. Once you take admission, you have to go through a lot of paperwork throughout your first semester.
Since Amity University, Kolkata is located in the outskirts of the city, you have to struggle with foods specially if you are a non-vegetarian. The campus has two canteens which strictly serve vegetarian foods.

Placement Experience:

Typically students in their final year, i.e., 5th and 7th semester sit for campusing. Renowned companies like TATA, AUDI, CADBURY, etc, recruit their employees from here. I remember a student from CSE secured a package of 36LPA. I didn't sit for campusing because I wanted to go for higher education.

Overview of Amity University Kolkata

Likes

The Professors were very helpful and the academic subjects were very helpful for my career.
The campus was very big and very beautiful along with the college fest
The campus was very clean along with it comes with central AC

Dislikes

The university is located in the outskirts of the city.
The LLM course is for just 1 year and so I couldn't spend much time in the university.
Our batch didn't got any college placements

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course helped me in my career. When I came in the real world I got a instant job. The teaching methods and the course curriculum was very helpful. The frequency of exam was very frequent and the exam timings was also good.

The vast and well-maintained campus provide ample space for various activities
The structured and comprehensive syllabus ensured that I received a thorough education, covering essential topics relevant to my field of study

Dislikes

It can challenging sometimes to build a cohesive social life, as students were spread out across different places
Transportation could be problematic due to the college's location off the main route

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculums are on-point as there is no major irrelevant subjects in my course which might not help in real world application. But several minor subjects such as Intro to Hospitality Management, Indian Knowledge System felt irrelevant in the course which shall be improved. The exam timings are fine and the difficulty of exam are moderate. The materials are provided by teachers and students are required to go thru the materials.

Likes

The infrastructure is massive. The college is environmentally friendly too.
The campus is huge . The faculty guides are very cooperative.
Price of the food in the canteen is very reasonable and worth it.

Dislikes

Transportation problem can be often seen outside of the university .
Getting accommodation is tough if you are foreign students. Try coming as early as possible.
Not all the class infrastructure are same . Some of them are very good and some of them are way too bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which i pursuied was business administration specialised in human resource. The course is thoroughly taught in the university with practical experiments. Internships are offered by the end of 2nd year for more practical knowledge and get the most out it.

It's a nice college

Likes

The faculty is nice and helpful. They provide all the necessary books links and pdfs.
The infrastructure is beautiful. You'll have beautiful places to sit and relax.
The library has almost all the books you need related to your course.

Dislikes

75% attendance is mandatory. Gaming rooms are almost never available.
If you want internships then you'll have to figure it out by yourself.

Placement Experience:

The average package is 5-6 lakhs per annum. The highest package till date is 32 lakhs. If no campus placements are offered then you can even interview for placements outside of college campus. It might be difficult to get placements on campus for average students.

Likes

The campus of amity is huge. The faculty is also very good.
Placement of amity is good. Amity conducts different fests which grows the student from all aspects.
It has 11 research centers and the campus is filled with plants providing greenery and fresh environment to students.

Dislikes

They are very strict with timings. If you are 2 mins late or even a minute, you won't be granted attendance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Amity Business School and Amity institute of biotechnology has been ranked no. 1 among the private colleges in the country. Amity university is affiliated with many India's major certifications and is reliable and job oriented. Some teachers are very good and qualified but some are just below average. The exams are moderate in level not very easy to be honest and attendance is very necessary orelse you will not be allowed to write your exam.

Likes

The best learning environment. The teachers were very helpful and helped whenever I had any doubt regarding any subject.
The ambience of the entire was very postive.

Dislikes

The fees were bit overprized. Also the food in the canteen were shabby sometimes
Minimum 80% attendance required in each and every subject
the teachers were strict about attendance

The main reason why I chose English Literature as my Honors subject is mainly because I like to read literature and try to understand the author's mind by stating one question in my mind" Why did the author write like this and not in some other way which will help to rise the curiosity level"

Amity University is a premiere institute of Kolkata established in 2015 offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various courses. The university can be reviewed on the following parameters:

FEES & SCHOLARSHIPS

The university provides an ample amount of scholarships at undergraduate and postgraduate level with different flexibilities. Merit scholarships are provided with 100% to 25% margin. Up till now 25000 scholarships have been granted to students. The fee structure is affordable as compared to other Amity colleges situated in India. For B.Tech, the fee is Rs. 7 lakh and Rs. 1.5 lakh for M.Sc.

PLACEMENTS

University’s Average package is Rs. 4 lakhs while Highest Package is Rs. 28 lakhs. The major recruiters are Amazon, BYJU’s, Federal Bank, Deloitte, and KPMG.

RESEARCH

Amity Kolkata specifically provides a broader range of research opportunities ranging from international research to national research. The institute has catered 500 books in different domains along with 6000 research publications.
