The overall faculty of the fine arts department is satisfactorily good.
The seats are good in the class is a good strength projector good stuff there is people always helping each other.
To be honest amity university kolkata gives placement very well.

Dislikes

Food are not good and healthy sometime can cause food poisoning
Transportation could be problematic due to the college's location off the main route, leading delays and inconvenience for students commuting to and from campus.
The biggest con for the hostel student is they are not allowed to go out during weekdays. This becomes highly inconvenient in some situations and also during some emergency.

Review of BCA course at Amity University Kolkata

Likes

The professors were kind and helpful, supported us a lot.
The campus and infrastructure was good. All classes has air conditioning.
Canteens had good quality food and campus life was great.

Dislikes

Labs had very bad specifications computers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects/courses taught were upto the mark but ya the curriculum lacked advanced programming skills. The teaching was fine for the curriculum but i feel it lacked much coding skills. Exams were conducted in monthly basis and final exam was a bit tough and conducted after 4 months into each semester.

Likes

Big Infrastructure and and very good environment.
Labs and classrooms are well equipped and clean
There are a lot of cultural programs and annual programs held which keep the spirits of the student high.

Dislikes

75 percent attendance is a must or else you cannot sir in an exam.
A few departments need to be quick about informing the students about the different events going on in the college.

Placement are good enough in this University. But for a high aiming person like me, the packages are too low to start. The college should get in touch with bigger brands and also with brands outside India. So that the proper desired placement approaches the college when it's time.

Classrooms are well maintained and of decent size
The library is actually the best place in the entire campus
There is a lot of greenery throughout the campus and is good in terms of cleanliness

Dislikes

The class timings is something which almost everyone dislikes
The exam schedule and holiday lists can be provided a bit early for the students
The canteen has only veg food available and is also not up to the mark

Placement Experience:

The placements here are not really bad it all actually depends on the students and how good there preparation is . The college offers its students to sit for placement after following some basic conditions

The classroom size is usually good and also well maintained
The library is really good with comfortable seats and good wifi speed
The campus is clean and very hygienic as well

Dislikes

The class timings are very odd... sometimes there is a gap of almost 3 hours between 2 classesv
No proper schedule is provided also at times classes are scheduled few hours prior
There is language issue faced by non bengoli students from other states

Placement Experience:

I really don't know much about the placements here because currently I am a 1st year student here.But from what I have heard usually there are a lot of mass recruitment companies which visit our college during the placements season

looking at Amity University kolkata with a critical eye

air conditioning is good along with the new addition of two extra lifts bringing the total to 5
there is a good campus live which has a lot of motion and is veri lively both in and out of campus with absolutely no raging that I have seen

Course Curriculum Overview:

unlike other colleges, amity teaches both painting and applied for the first two semesters and even after that still has at least one subject related to the other option for the other semester. it also prepared you for real-world application by teaching other subjects like b com, EVS, foreign language, etc. the theory subject are straight to the point and the practical subjects even though lacking in the first two semesters have greatly improved due to the newly introduced module system where one practical subject is taught throughout the week

I like the faculty members and the campus the most.

Dislikes

I dislike the attendance process where we need to have 75% of our attendance in every subject.

Placement Experience:

The Amity University Kolkata offer a quite good campusing during your last year of graduation. Companies like TCS Wipro Amazon and many other IT companies come to the campus for acquiring students in their company.

The classrooms are well mentioned and has enough space
The library has a lot of books available related to each and every course
The campus is of decent size and also most of the faculty is very helpful

Dislikes

At times during the first few semester you can have as much as 9 classes in a single day
The attendance policy is very strict,almost all the students face this problem
You are not provided with the holiday list and also many holidays are not even considered here

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very much similar to that of any other engineering college in India.The only thing that I think can be improved is the number of subjects in every semester can be reduced a bit as it becomes very hectic for a student to make time for their personal interests

Likes

Campus is very good and infrastructure are well
Placement is excellent and they offer good package
Faculty are very experienced and they treat us like their child

Dislikes

Attendance it's 75 percent which I hate the most
Canteen doesn't contain chicken which is my fav dish
Every one came from big family and to much rich

From 6 th semester should are eligible for campus placement companies name are amizone Google then wipro etc highest package was 34 lakh and average of 6 lakh 70 percent of students get placement from college

Likes

Top notch faculty are there. Most of them are NIFT graduates
The infrastructure is also top notch. Vast campus
All the classrooms have centralized air conditioners

Dislikes

Half of the flush in the washroom doesn't work.
Pattern making labs have broken tiles which sometimes hurt one's legs
Lifts get struck midway. Lifts make weird noices

Placement Experience:

From from 4th semester onwards there are internships offered and during the 7th semester there are on campus placements. Companies visited are Masaba Gupta, Amazon, Myntra, Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons Highest package in fashion offered is 5 LPA.

Likes

Faculty's method of teaching and their support.
The campus is very beautiful to sit and ador in peace.
Different fests that are held throughout the year.

Dislikes

There are no placement or internship opportunities for our course.
During the semester end , the class extend a lot and it stretches till 5:30
The gym isn't available to students other than the ones engaged in sports activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to learn a new language plus the increasing job availablities. The ratio between faculty and students is 5:15. The faculty is very well qualified and their methods of teaching is good. The exams are quite tough, the internal exams are held on the 3rd month on the semester and the external exams are held on the 5th month.

Amity University is a premiere institute of Kolkata established in 2015 offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various courses. The university can be reviewed on the following parameters:

FEES & SCHOLARSHIPS

The university provides an ample amount of scholarships at undergraduate and postgraduate level with different flexibilities. Merit scholarships are provided with 100% to 25% margin. Up till now 25000 scholarships have been granted to students. The fee structure is affordable as compared to other Amity colleges situated in India. For B.Tech, the fee is Rs. 7 lakh and Rs. 1.5 lakh for M.Sc.

PLACEMENTS

University’s Average package is Rs. 4 lakhs while Highest Package is Rs. 28 lakhs. The major recruiters are Amazon, BYJU’s, Federal Bank, Deloitte, and KPMG.

RESEARCH

Amity Kolkata specifically provides a broader range of research opportunities ranging from international research to national research. The institute has catered 500 books in different domains along with 6000 research publications.
