- Amazing faculty to student ratio experienced and well qualified faculty they have amazing knowledge so they can make learning more fun and can teach in details.
- It is enjoyable life here in this campus.the hostel is very comfortable for anything like festivals , occasions and ceremonies.
- Placement scenario here is good one can easily secure a seat in good company
Dislikes
- The hostel mess food okay but sometimes its so bad !!
- In this fee all your dress, uniform hostel mess books are included unfortunately there is no scholarship given by the campus, you can apply it for other means
- I mostly dislike the food of the mess i don't its not healthy i think.

When I joined in 2011 they used to take from IIT JEE but from 2013 they started conducting IMU CET. Since this is the oldest and under central government that is why I opted it.

Every coin has two facets so is with this college. Obviously there are some negative points like it's high fees, it's strict discipline, it's infrastructure of the building. But these factors are very small when compared to it's good ones. So if you are interested in this field , you should have a try of it's entrance test. Once you are in this college your life is fully set.You don't have to worry more about it just relax and enjoy the college life as it comes only ones in everybody's life.

You have to give IMU-CET comman entrance test. I got 169 rank overall. I was called for counselling in Chennai. Then according to rank they have given me the Kolkata campus which is the best marine engineering college in india.

Till 2008 it was through iit jee anow indian meritime studies has started a separte examination for the same. I opted for this course because it is only government college with great infrastructure specially for marine engineering .
