I like the greenery and cleanliness here and I didn't liked the classroom without Ac
Campus life is extremely beautiful here with plenty of Friends with diverse culture from different countries
Faculty is highly qualified and educated they are very helpful in everything

Dislikes

I didn't liked the class timings here because it's too long
I didn't liked the mess and canteen cleanliness they are little unhygienic
One poor thing in infrastructure is the wifi speed it's too less

I am pursuing b tech cse because I am an computer addict and I love to learn more about that mainly I chose for skill development the staff teaches and helps in particular area of skill development for placements it need just few improvement in course syllabus otherwise everything is fine the timings of exam is perfect and difficulty is also moderate to difficult preparing yourself for higher education

A good college with excellent placement record

The campus is not very vast so students can explore the campus easily
The professor's in the college are good and very friendly
The food quality of the hostels are very good and hostel are cleaned after every 2 days

Dislikes

75 percent attendance is mandatory if not you will not be allowed to sit in semester examination
In campus there are very strict rules and treat them
In campus there are very expensive items as food and stationary items

Placement Experience:

Cgc Jhanjeri provides company placement and the highest package of btech cse is 54 lpa the campus provides placement in colleges in some courses like btech, Aiml, cyber security, Bca, Mba, Bsc. But different companies have different eligibilities so the student should full fill that.

The real truth about CGC.

Likes

The infrastructure is great. The teachers here are super supportive and they are always ready to help us whenever needed
Hostel facilities are normal for girls, timming of gate closing is 7 30 pm and for boys its 11 pm.
Hostel rooms and comfortable and spacious. You got 4 people living in one single room.

Dislikes

There is a lot of strictness in terms of studies and attendance.
Mess food is good but it is too spicy. Whenever some function is there hostel students are called first even if it is Sunday or any holiday. They don't care if we are busy in studies or not
The timming of the girls is 7 30 pm only and boys timming for gate closing is 11 pm so there should not be like this

Placement Experience:

The student are eligible for placement in 6th semester.they should not have active backlog. Amazon , microsoft, Flipkart, the math company etc come here for hiring students. Highest package is 45.5LPA and average package is 10LPA which is not so bad. 75% of the students gets placed. After getting the degree i will do M.tech.

There are a lot of scholarships at CGC jhanjeri after giving cgc jhosh, Merit Scholarships and Need-Based Grants. Tuition fees increase by 3% annually and the total costs by my time (2022) it was 27000 per sem

Life at Chandigarh group of colleges

Good for students who are pursuing management courses from college as they have lot of placement for management department students but not for agriculture department students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is nice according to Punjab technical University but college teachers don't know how to teach it . Moreover agriculture is a subject which requires practical knowledge with theory . For example if you are telling about sowing, or any disease or any other agricultural interventions in plants then how can students get ready for real world if they don't have any practical knowledge in these topics because agriculture is all about fields not about pen and copies

Basically this college have good and supportive faculty in our department even hod take care of every individual student
College have different dedicated placement cell called as DCPD and this placement cell would help individually a smart or poor student
College have good infrastructure and also have well equiped campus with every facility available within a campus

Dislikes

The Department of student warefare (D.S.W) Is not a supportive department along with dean they imposed multiple fine which is not satisfactor

Placements are all around good and almost 80? student of ece branch would get placed with average package of 6-7 LPA with highest package of 45 lakh student get placement oppertunity after 6th sem students are eligible for campus placementand more than 500 company visit every year iam looking for decent jobs in IT sector with good package

Sometimes it happend You have less attendance because of some medical issue they will not give you admit card nd then u have to pay fine

After 4 semester student become eligible for campus placements tommy hilfigher nd Manu fashion brands visited like zara. Highest i would say 30000 80% students getting placement I will study forward nd maybe i can do a part time job

An honest review about Cgc Jhanjeri

Likes

Abundant Placement opportunities because of tie up with CGC Landran and CU. Previous placement records are good. Academics are in accordance to PTU and it's quite easy to have a good CGPA that'll be required by companies.
Beautiful and maintained campus, students come from across India as well as abroad. Every culture is celebrated in our college. Many fests are organised and Bollywood and Punjabi celebrities are invited over. The fashion show ' Meraki' is fabulous.
We also get opportunities to take part in inter college competitions with many colleges including IITs. Our college hosts multiple hackathons

Dislikes

Hostel accomodation is costly and girls hostel is quite strict.
Not many food options available inside campus.
Attendance can be an issue because if you don't fulfill 75 percent criteria you would br forbidden to take exam and mid semester tests.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship from 5th semester and placement from 6th semester. Numerous companies visit over college individually as well as due to tie up with CGC Landran amd CU. Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk , Walmart ,JP Morgan , Morgan Stanley, SIHR , Watchdog ,Wissen Technologies, DBS tech, LGSoft , TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Cognizant etc. highest package was 45.5 lpa for Amazon and 37 for autodesk and 29 for adobe. average package is around 9 lpa offered 80 Percent of students get placements. I'm planning on getting college placement and start my journey as a software engineer in a tech firm.

Placement opportunity is good in our college. It can be a good choice.
Friendly environment is maintained in our campus
Workshops and labs are prioritized for industrial exposure

Dislikes

Some of the teachers have a punjabi accent
The class hours are long and tiring especially in summer
The campus is smaller in respect to CU and CGC landran

In the early 7th sem, the students become eligible for placements. there are various companies like Autodesk, Microsoft, Adobe ,etc visited our college.The highest package offered is 40 lakh in our batch.

What is your review of CGC Jhanjeri?

My cousin studies at CGC Jhanjeri and it's a nice and average place to be. Following are some issues though, which may be burdensome:

If you wish to go out during college hours then you will need to get an application signed by the CC and the HOD. The process itself will take up a lot of time.
Girls can stay out up to 7 pm in summers and 6 pm in winters and you can step out to roam in the campus by 4:30 and you will have to return in two hours to avoid sending a call home.
You should have at least a 75% attendance like most colleges, but it will be evaluated every 15 days. You will have to attend 75% of 15 days to avoid detention during the Monthly Sessional Tests of MSTs.
The campus is verdant and hygienic and it has a playground, but it is surrounded by grasslands on all sides up to 5 Kms. It has all the basic amenities like stationery shops, sports ground, pool, games room, etc.
Even transportation is an issue and autos and buses are the only way but quite time-consuming.

Hostel, mess food, cleanliness, room Sharing are not any issues at all. You will not have to worry about ragging too. You can go to Chandigarh for shopping after getting your passbook filled and signed by the Warden.

However, you cannot bunk because the campus is small, you can get discovered very easily and may face some good punishment. As for placements, it all depends upon research-based hard work and skills. Major companies do visit for recruitment.
