IIT Jammu Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

IIT JAMMU has very good placements stats as compared to all other 3rd gen IITs. The highest package Offered in the year 2021 is 52LPA for BTech and Median Package for CSE is 21LPA. Almost 83% of students get placed. The Overall median package of Btech is 16LPA. In MTech Highest package is 45LPA and the median is 25.5 LPA. The top companies visiting are amazon, Microsoft, sprinklr, indeed, Samsung, and Qualcomm.

The placements at college are satisfactory ie: not so good and not so bad. The students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Several companies visit the college for placements. One of them is Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Cognizant and many others companies. The Highest package was 40lacs the previous year. And it is going to increase in the upcoming years. Almost 85% students get placed in the college and bag a nice package.

You might get PPOs after internships etc. but for campus placements, you are eligible after the 6th sem. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Samsung, VLSI based companies have offered placements. Last Year's maximum was 52 LPA and the average was 18 LPA. 90% of students who appeared were placed. Going for placements.

In the 6th semester, we are eligible for placements. Here many companies visited my college all around 54 companies visited like Samsung, Amazon, Jio, Microsoft, Nvidia, etc. And my plan after B. Tech for prepare for the UPSC CSE exam.

The placement committee was also formed recently. However, the college was able to invite very good companies, and a large number of companies were invited, with approximately 110+ companies visiting the college campus during the placement drive. Nonetheless, the college achieved a placement rate of 90%, with the highest placement offer being around 38 LPA and the average salary offer being 15 LPA.

In a really short amount of time, the college recognised the value of placement performance in order to compete with India's top IITs, and the placement council and college management collaborate to improve college placement quality. Placements were amazing here especially for the computer science and IT students. Top IT companies like Amazon, Cognizant, Dell, HP picked the entire batch of the M.Tech (Information Security). The highest CTC offered to the students was Rs. 40 LPA though only 20-30 companies visited the campus. Arista Networks, The Captury, DESAY S V Automotive, and Toppr were the top-paying companies.

The college has been able to compare the norms of the IIT in a short amount of time. From the initial class of students, the college has had a 100% placement rate. Because the quality of college education is so high, only a few of my classmates received pre placement offers during the internship.
