IIT Jammu Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

For PhD admission, it is all about in which area we need to do our research. Based on our research area, we can check with the professors area of research in different in institution. I also followed the same and I found professor Dr. Vinod Kushvaha in IIT Jammu. So, I selected this campus.

There are several reasons to go for M.Tech at this college:First its IIT, second young faculty they were very helpful as i expected, growing very fast.

Location, Young Faculty, Infrastructure and academics. The location of this college is in the mountains, located at NH44. The young and dynamic faculty here is very energetic and always ready to go. The Campus is all set to expand in the area of 400 acres.

As our institute is still in its intial phase, So placement stats can't touch that's of First Gen IITs, but still if you are hardworking you can get decent . Placement in CSE branch is outstanding with average package around 15 LPA, Amazon (4 offers), healthifyMe (5 offers), L&T (13 offers), Chegg (21 offers ), Optum (6 offers ), Cognizant (3 offer), Indian Air Force (1 offer ), Sterlite Technologies (6 offers), TCS (5 offers), OYO (3 offers), Truminds (3 offers) are some of the top recruiters , Placement in Electrical and Mechanical is not too satisfactory but still a decent number of student were placed , In CSE almost all of them are placed, in Electrical and mechanical around 70%, though not very sure about it. The average package of the institute was 9 LPA, and max was 40 LPA.

As in 2020, the first batch of IIT Jammu is passed though this year there was the outbreak of covid then our placement cell worked hard and this was the result Average package 12.2 lpa Highest package 40 lpa Seniors were recruited by the companies like topper, Oyo, optum , amazon, Forbes Marshell,l&t, jbm etc

This year first batch completed there study and applied for placement. From 5 semester students are eligible for campus placement. This year Amazon, flipkart, Oyo rooms etc company visited to college. At this time no official news about the college placement. After getting degree I wish to do job.

The first placement session is about to happen this year. One of the benefits of being an IITian is that alumni from other IITs will also help you. The college supports you in every way during placements. E-cell IIT Jammu is very focused on startups and entrepreneurship.

Life is as good as it gets in a college, you will never forget these years. If you're good at studies this college welcomes you and if you are not- you will get lots of opportunities to improve, go to teachers if you need help

There was two exam, first level was JEE Main, after this exam top 20 percent student shortlisted for the exam JEE Advanced this exam happened about two months after the JEE Main. After the selection in JEE Advanced merit list I got a seat in this college according to my all india rank.

By clearing joint entrance exam after my 12th there will be Mains on front site after qualifying you have to give advance examination that brings you seat in Indian institute of technology it's totally based on merit
