- Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
- Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
- Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college
Dislikes
- The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
- The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
- The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

- Terrible uniform quality which is very uncomfortable in summers. The pink shirt also looks very Terrible.
- Interaction with most of the seniors feels like ragging. They often indulge in violence.
- Due to its location in an Industrial area. It's heavily affected with air pollution.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum of b.tech. in Civil engineering is decently designed and has a lot of scope for improvement. The subjects like biology must be removed as they are of no use in a civil engineer's life. All the essential subjects are crumbled in 4th and 5th semester.

- The campus life at HIT is vibrant, with a wide range of clubs, societies and events.
- Allowing for rich social interactions and opportunity to build lifelong friendships.
- Faculty members are generally approchable and willing to help students outside of classroom hours.
Dislikes
- Some outdated infastructure and the need for better mantanance in certain areas.
- Limited diversity in placement opportunities and support for higher studies.
Placement Experience:
Students at HIT typically become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester of their undergraduate programs. Pre-placement training and workshops often begain in the 6th semester to prepare students.

- College infrastructure, and building are nice
- College faculty are good for some branches not for all
- Fee structure are quite low then other colleges
Dislikes
- The management is too bad, they need money for everything
- Some faculties are so baised , as if they put score , internship best on their choices not talent
- The TPO cells are most useless. They don't provide any type of assistance
Placement Experience:
Student can sit for placement only in last semester. The placement policy is worst.
The IT industry has some placement but core company has zero placement . they sent students for jobs where you have to do 12 hours for 12k salary

- The campus and Infrastructure is very well maintained. All the facilities are well maintained i.e. library and all the labs.
- All the teachers and seniors are very nice and cooperative.
- Exam are properly conducted. Enough time for self growth and Skills development.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choosed Data Science as it is an emerging technology and will eventually grow with time, that's my reason to choose.
All basic subject were taught well and Nicely.
All the topic which are taught don't ho directly in real world applications you need to do your own self skilling along with curriculum as the challenges makes you mentally and physically very much strong you get enough to upskill.
Exam are very much easier in my college. No pressure for any sort of exam even semester exam feels like routine exam if you have properly planned and studied for that. 1 month study before exams are enough for you to get more than 8.5 CGPA .

Inka effect of the curriculum that is your decision was not personal but at the time of counselling it was allocated electronic and communication for real world application I think the overall curriculum should be revised

- The Teachers Of Our College are Very Good In manner and they are very helpful.
- The Placement rate of our college is higher than any other private colleges in West Bengal
- The Environment of our college is very good and clean.
Dislikes
- Our college closes an year in 10 months instead of 12 months
- The classrooms are non AC that is a problem during summer
- Sometimes seniors rag student withiout any reason
Placement Experience:
Ending of 3rd year students are eligible for campus placement. There are many companies visited like HPL, Indorama, Bharat Gas . Highest package offered here is 8 lakhs and average package is 4 lakhs.90% students got placed here. I will take campus placement after completing the degree.

- The culture of college is too good. as i completed my graduation gurney in Haldia institute of technology is awesome i learn lots of things, the faculty of this college are too cooperative they help us in every situation and every faculty is suportiv
- Come to the next point that is courses and quality of education you get here , here all the faculty is well qualified so you get quality of education here in college you get every facility all types of lab and workshop are available in college campus
- Know come to the extra calicular activity for that there is one tech fest of college name of the Techfest is PARYUKTI in this from different different college participant come and participate in fest you will explore every types of curriculum here...
Dislikes
- The campus of this college is too big but the infrastructure is not that much developed , college need to spend more on infrastructure , you get all type of facility here but in every thing there is need of militance need to upgrade with latest thing
- College is situated in Haldia and Haldia is not big city so if you see from deferent deferent perspective there lack everything because college is not in big city it effect on placement also because big company not visit in college directly offline.
- Placement cell is no doubt its good and the placement of this college is also too good but TPO need more active and some students face racism here in Bihari Bengali like that if someone are from different state and one guy from Bengal they conside

Placement of our college is good compair to another college , on capmus placement is also in this college big multinational companies came here for placement like capgemini , acctenture , TCS , wipro , infosys etc, and startup also came here.

- The college is biggest among private college in West Bengal.
- The technical and cultural fest of these is best.
- Student can easily grab placement opportunities.
Dislikes
- College is little out side of city, if you want to eat good food you should go to 2-3 km from college.
- Sometimes teacher speak little Bengali in there lecture, we didn't understand.
Placement Experience:
The college placement percentage was last recent years , but this due to recession the percentage down little bit in IT sector, but in core sector it's good. The placement cell help students to achieve there target company.

- Generally, I liked what I got out of it. It wasn’t perfect, esp. from a social perspective. There’s often “the one who got away” and I honestly don’t know how I could have gotten a different outcome. He let himself get away. If I could do it all over
Dislikes
- The Locality around is not so nice and developed.. coming from a city like Patna it feels underdeveloped
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course which I've pursued is what I have always desired to do.. The time which we are living in AI is the Best. The whole world is dependent on Ai moreover this is the domain which actually has high paid jobs. And who would not like to get one. The frequency of lab classes must be increased as the difficulty increases. Because it completely is a new thing to us.

- The campus size here is considerable for enjoying the student life for four years.
- The library is huge with plenty of books including fiction, and course books and has enough of seating capacity.
- Extracurricular activities that happen most of the time of the year keeps us engaged and stress free.
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are nothing as facilities, it is just accomodation with poor infrastructure, hygiene issues in mess, washrooms, the food is not upto the mark and the room is just livable.
- The ragging culture is prominent here, with many silly rules of seniors to follow; no shorts, slippers, metal bangles, watches to be worn by first year; just to name a few.
- The class feels more like a school rather than a college with uniform culture and sitting desks like middle school.
Placement Experience:
Campus placements generally do start at the end of the third year(sixth semester) and the beginning of the fourth year(seventh semester)
Many companies are visiting the Haldia Institute of Technology and the median package is around 5-6 lakhs ( 2024 is an exception due to the recession at the nationwide level)
Even during the recession, the highest package was 33 LPA at a company named Commvault
Usually, 90%+ students do get placed (except this year, which is as low as 50% - 60%)
I Prefer appearing for GATE.

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC
Courses:
The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.
Placements:
As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
Fest:
The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
