- Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
- Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
- Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college
Dislikes
- The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
- The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
- The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

Placement Experience:
Placement are quite good in this good college around 90% placements are there with average of 5-6 lakhs. Highest package in the year 2024 is 33 lakhs. I am planning to sit for placement currently i am in my first year.

- Campus is in 37 acres, full of plants and well designed
- Library is full of useful books, you can self study here
Dislikes
- Placement:- the major problem, this year placement is very low, and they will say you to join sales, marketing and bpo services too as a placement after doing B.tech
- Teachers:- some of the teachers are very arrogant in cyber security department
- Very bad management in boys hostel, in every month you will hear 2-3 fights
Placement Experience:
Till 2023 placement where like 90% students got placed till their 7th semester. But in 2024 scenario is totally opposite. A little politics also going on, some students getting more preference. Well companies visit here. Companies also visit for bpo services and sales.

- The college campus is very large and we can explore many things in college and we can play many sports because we have four large grounds

- The college Haldia Institute of Technology is in a remote area which is for away from City
- The weather of Haldia is too hot because it is in a Industrial Area
- The hostel mess food is not so good and hostels are also not so good
Placement Experience:
The placement percentage of our college is called very good and from fourth year the students are eligible for taking placements and in 3rd year they go outside for the paid internship and the highest package of our college this year is 37 lakhs per annum and the average package is 4.85 lakh and around 150 companies visited this college

- I love the campus , it's huge and beautiful. It has a beautiful garden, field, statue,trees and many more

- The management of college is very poor.they don't help the students properly

The teachers taught that point which will help us to do better in life and also motivate us to make our dream successful and also they are very helpful in nature they helps us to do something better in life

the couse of our college is decent and the brach like cse ece electrical course study id very good as comparison to other so i prefer to take addmission in these brach so you can enjoy and learn more and more

- College campus is good enough for the students and there is library for the student to study after the learning hours
- The faculties are good and very supportive and the infrastructure is also good the teachers are highly skilled and helped us to achieve something
- the placement of the college in the present recent year is approximately 65 percent. There is hostel, playground,library and many more facilites available here also medical facilities available for the students
Dislikes
- Need to hire more skilled teachers who helped students properly. some teachers are not supportive and do discrimination for the outside state student
- The mess of the hostel is not good and tasteless. The location is very outsider from the main city and feels like college is situated in the remote area. The seniors take ragging of their juniors and the anti ragging committee don't take action.
- The placement is quite low and the placement percentage is lowered than previous year.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I want to become an engineer which inspires me to take admission in btech.
Enginners have an real world experience for doing work in every field and in every aspects
Teachers are hardworking and students love their way of teaching
The entrance exam is not difficult and approx less 150000 students fill the wbjee exam form

- Air conditioning class room is not available
- Mess food is not so good. That's why we have to depend on restaurant

During the time of recession college gave a good placement opportunities more probably 80 percentage students of Haldia institute of technology get placed at good average package the average package of this year is 4.83 lac

From 6th semester you are eligible for sitting in the campus placement. TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini are the mass recruiter.100+ offers are provided to the students.90% students are placed generally but this year placement rate is slightly decreased.

- This college has very less placement this year due to recession
- College is in rural area so you won't find much place to travel around
- Hostels food is worst. If you are a vegetarian you can't find a proper veg food here
Placement Experience:
College offers a good placement in IT as well as core branch student. There is vey good placement of chemical department student sometime better than IT students.
This year placement scenario is not as good as they used to be due to recession. But you can go for off campus placement.

- Here's placement is little less, it should be higher
- Near this college, port is there and and factories are also there so sometimes chemical smell is coming with the air
- Some hostel is outside the college, so we have to walk atleast 1 km to go to college

Companies are Flipkart, Wipro and many more
Average package is 5-6 lakh and highest is 12-13 lakh
Percentage of students getting placement is good

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC
Courses:
The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.
Placements:
As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
Fest:
The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
