- Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
- Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
- Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college
Dislikes
- The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
- The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
- The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

- college campus which is very and natural orinted.
- everything you want ,you can get in campus.
- College campus placement is also quite good.
Dislikes
- Mess (hostel ) food is not so good ,..
- travelling provlem in haldia city.......
Placement Experience:
Campus placement in this college is quite good. many company like tcs, infosys , hpl, indorama, accenture visit our college for campus placement.avarage package 5-6 lpa and highest package goes to 33 lpa last year.

- Campus is green and beautiful. Infrastructure is decent with all the basic amenities.
- Campus life is happening and most of the students stay in hostel so you get to interact with your mate anytime.
- Coding clubs and extra curricular activity club are there where you can join and gain some experience.
Dislikes
- The campus is outside of kolkata which is a pain to travel so far.
- The college is situated in village area which doesn't provide you an option to do some part time jobs or internship.
Placement Experience:
The placement is good. Most of the companies that visits the college pay around 3.5-4.5 LPA. However if you are good in coding and other stuffs you can get placement off campuss with a good package. Companies like Infosys, WIPRO, TCS , Cognizant visit to the campus .

- The faculty is good for my stream and it's cooperative in itself.
- The attendance policy is good. No such 75% attendance is there atleast for my branch.
Dislikes
- The senior culture is too strict in the college. Fights takes place sometimes
- Mess food and surroundings are not that good that is no actual enjoyment.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is pretty good but I think it's still outdated. And talking about the exams it's pretty much ranging from medium to hard. Tho suggestions are given which are actually the whole syllabus tbh that to get good marks we have study for the same else you can get back too.

- Campus building is beautiful having a large campus in West Bengal pivate college
- Attendance load is not much faculty are supportive
- Course teacher are expert in their field help if you interact with them

- Some teachera speak native language which is the problem for the outer people
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is more than average. Overall the course help to get the placement after first year. Dbms, web dev and other courses are necessary for the good placement and these curses are available for CSE students

Varoius companies comes like Tcs,Wipro,Capegimini, Cognizant, Accenture,Mindtree etc.
Highest package is 22lpa and average us 4lpa
80% of students getting placed it may very each year.
My plan after getting degree is Doing job.

- College Campus, which is quite big and nature oriented.
- Everything what you need, you can get it in college campus. Don't need to go outside.
- There are various options for food if you don't want to consume college mess's food.
Dislikes
- College mess Food which is not that much good.
- There is not that much options for travelling in Haldia city.
- College needs to improve anti ragging system.
Placement Experience:
Placements of our college is pretty good. After 6th semester you become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Synopsis, Bajaj, Nestle, Godrej, Tech Mahindra etc are visit our college and recruite students. Average package is 5-6 LPA and highest package goes to 42 LPA last year. 70-80 percent students get placed. Chemical engineering is the best branch in our college. They get 100 percent placed every year.

- The campus is really good. It is having cafeteria, playgrounds, Gym, Library. There are many Clubs and teams in the college which help a student to develop their extra curricular skills, professional skills and will boost their chance of placement.
- Most of the faculties are highly qualified from reputed Universities, some of them are also gold medalist and maximum of them are PhDs. They have good teaching techniques and they also provide you the chapter notes.
- The classroom are quite big and the labs have almost all types of instruments and machineries required for the course..
Dislikes
- Students especially boys in the hostel may sometimes called by seniors for assignments. And 1st year students have to follow some rules like putting sleeves down, wearing ties, formal shoes, not wearing belts etc like this.
- Though the faculties are well qualified but some of their teaching techniques are really poor, they just focus on completing the syllabus.
- Despite of having big classroom, it is not having ACs. It becomes too problematic to attend classes in the afternoon with a strength of 70 students in a class.
Placement Experience:
The campus placement starts mainly from 6th semester.The campus placement is good, but this year i.e. 2023-24 the placement rate was around 52% which was 91% in previous year. The mechanical and food technology branches had the maximum placement this session with almost 80%+ placement rate, the non-core branches like CSE, AIML had very low placement rate. The highest package offered this year was 33lpa which was 22lpa previous year. The avg package was 3-4.5 lpa.
After my graduation I would try for campus placement.

- Campus is huge no need to go outside the campus for anything. There are facilities like gym, playground yoga center, restaurant, xerox shops
- Every year there's a college own fest known as Prayukti and Rivera.
- College provide every single student placement and internship. There are many types of workshops available for the students
Dislikes
- Traveling to howrah and haldia by local train is worst but There are many alternatives to rich haldia.
- As a student studying there, I can see there's less exposure to socializing with other.
Placement Experience:
By studying there for 4 yrs you yourself can understand what to do in future or not. About the placements every single students gets placed whether its high paying or low paying job. If anyone gets unplaced they have their own fault. Many companies comes with high packages and big comapnies also come like accenture, adani, nestle, capegimi, tcs, pwc, mindtree etc. are mass recruiting companies that comes to college every year. By qualifying gate or any other exams you can also go for further higher studies. Along with college you cam also prepare for govt exams or any off campus companies. There's huge opportunities for your future.

- The qualities of Faculties is vey good. They are expertise in their respective fields.
- Infrastructure is well maintained. We have well maintained campus.
- Course curriculum is relevant to Industry's standard.
Dislikes
- Improvement needed in hostel cleanliness.
- Inconsistent food quality of mess. They do not have diverse food options.

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC
Courses:
The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.
Placements:
As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
Fest:
The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
