- Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
- Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
- Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college
Dislikes
- The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
- The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
- The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

Placement Experience:
placement of college which institute shows is about 61 percent but reality is very harshed . many Students get placement of just 15K which is not accepted by a student who is undergraduated from B.Tech.

- Campus of Haldia Institute of technology is very big and beautiful which certainly did peak my interest
- Sports and engagement of students towards extracurricular activities in this college adds very cheerful aura to our college life
- Library is one of the best perk of joining this college as it's library is one of the biggest in west Bengal
Dislikes
- The test schedules in this college is something where faculty should pray.
- The number of books in library should be increased for some common ones although there are many but still few books get out of stock
- Gym equipments should be changed or atleast repaired preodically.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placement form 7th semester. Almost all mass recruiter visited our college excluding TCS while few big companies also visited like PWC . Highest package for 2024 batch was 33 lpa while average being 6 -8 lpa and lowest being 4 lpa .In our college almost 70 %student were placed from 2024 batch .
My plans after graduation is to get a decent job which generates decent living.

- The college is in so much far away from main city.

- As it is so much rainy areas it always raining in monsoon.
Placement Experience:
As i am an 4th year student looking for placement as I am in civil engineering branch but my college is offering me placement in Accenture which is an it sector . So i hope for good company whether it is it or civil.

- In Haldia their is no good place to visit.
Course Curriculum Overview:
In our course Electronics and Communication Engineering.for every subject their will be expert of there field. The curriculum is optimized for real-world experiences and the frequecy of exams is such that stdents are busy throughout whole year.

- Tech Fest and Cultural Fest is great in the college.
- College life is fun along with helpful faculties, not all teachers but many.
Dislikes
- The food at the girls hostel is very bad.
- The infrastructure needed renovations in quite a few places.
Placement Experience:
HIT has a reputation for good placements but this year the placement percentage is quite low. Before 2024 the placement scenario was quite good. The eligibility criteria differ, usually, students with a 7-9 CGPA are preferred. This year's highest package offered is 33LPA

- Campus is very big and clean. campus area is around 50acres. and the campus is greenry.
- College faculties and hods are very supportive. they help us at every point.
- Library facilities are too good. there is a separate central library. that is too big. so many acadmic books and novels are available here.
Dislikes
- No pier learning concept here. so, according to me improvement is needed.
- Coding invironment is not too good. so, according to me improvement is needed.
- Hostel foods are not too good. so, according to me improvement is needed.
Placement Experience:
the placement of my college is good.
the avarage pakage of this college is 5-6 lpa.
and the highest placement is 48lpa.
in year 2023 avarage placement is 6 lpa.
and the highest pakage is 34 lpa.
and this year aiml has 100% placement.

- FACULTY: The faculty is highly qualified with mostly being Ph.D. holders in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- Hostel mess food is little bit disappointing.
- college dress is mandatory for regular class in HIT.
- In Haldia Institute of Technology, there is 75% attendance criteria.
Placement Experience:
In Haldia Institue of Technology placement scenario is good. This year almost 55% students gets placed which is little bit disappointing. But also the last year almost 91% students get placed. which is very good performance.

- College infrastructure is so good. At this amount of fees, college campus is good and large. Faculty are also very good and engaging with students. Examination pattern and level is also very good. Cleanliness and management is good of this college.
- There are so many fest and events organised in this institute. Every year a annual sports meet is held. There are two fests - prayukti and riveria. There is also a Annual cultural meet held every year. In this college lots of opportunities are here.
- There are lots of Clubs and societies in this college. In clubs and societies, we can see a different angle of this college. Each club organise their workshop and events every year, students take part and learn lots of things through those events.
Dislikes
- Semester time. We know that semester is of 6 month approx. But 6month of semester is completed in 4 months. So students have to struggle for their semester exam preparation. College just take their examination but students have to face problems.
- Fights held in college. There are lots of quarrel between seniors. They fight with each other. Due to this fight, juniors and girls students are affected. College authority is not so strong to control that fights. They need to fix this. Hope so
Placement Experience:
College placements are very good and appreciable. Just you have to study well and prepare for placement. Companies come here. And hires also. Average placement record is 7lpa this year. Highest package offered is 33lpa. No of companies visit is above 150+

- Campus Infrastructure is Very good and vast
- Annual fests like riveira and prayukti, gives opportunity to students to showcase their talents and enjoy college life
- Large 3 floored library with vast number of books and quiet ambiene along with WiFi facilities to study
Dislikes
- Hostel mess food is very horrible and no improvement even after repeated complain
- Issues like ragging, senior-junior scenarios disrupt the student peaceful environment
- Haldia is an industrial hub, so no good places to visit in haldia
Placement Experience:
Placement scenario is okay, it's niether that good nor that bad. Students need to study on their own, apart from college curriculum to get placed in a good company. The highest package would be around 10 lpa and average package around 3 lpa. Around 20-30 companies visit the college online as well as offline.Around 70 percent students get placed in the placement drive .

- In haldia institute of technology , senior are very cooperative
- Campus life is very good. many game are played in our campus.
Dislikes
- In haldia institute of technology, college dress is mandatory for regular class.
- in summer haldia climate is to hot and when rain it becomes humid warm
- In the haldia of technolgy, there is 75% attendence criteria.
Placement Experience:
From seventh semester students become eligible for campus placements. TCS , WIPRO, COGNIZANT, HPL ,HCL,IOCL, CAPGEMINI, GIFO, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, RELIANCE JIO and many more companies visited.As per college placements record of year 2023-24 (81 no of companies visited as on 31 march 2024) and Highest package offered 33LPA and Average package offered 4.85LPA .

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC
Courses:
The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.
Placements:
As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
Fest:
The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
