Likes

Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

Beautiful campus

Students here in this college are more focused on academics as compared to other co-curricular activities

Placement Experience:

The college gets you job ready. On campus placements are usually good. Most students get placed. Other than that, you are encouraged to take up higher studies as well. Personally, I plan to take up masters in a premier institution.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose cyber security due to the fact that it is a booming course and learning such a course can impact my skill development talk about the curriculum preparation it is done well and good because experience teachers have decided what has to be they can care of frequency of exams are like there are surprise classes conducted and as normal there are semester exams which are conducted in within every 6 months

Likes

Good infrastructure where everything is well maintained and kept neat and clean.
Campus life is quite good and everything is kept quite neat and clean as environment issues are taken care of.
Teachers are very friendly and they make sure all the doubts are cleared and the concepts are well taught

Dislikes

No cultural or technical fests were held in the 3 years of my college life.
No freshers or farewell to the 1st and the 4th years
Surprise tests are taken like school which should be abandonned.

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements from 7th semester.Although there is no internship drive in our college but students get placed in top MNCs including TCS, Wipro ,Cognizant,etc. The highest package this year was 10 lakhs per annum.

Heritage : a place to make or break

Likes

Largest campus among private college in West bengal
The college is very good in cultural organizations and have lots of clubs to shine your talent
Teachers and professors are very helpful and always cooperative

Dislikes

Could have kept boys hostel too which is shut down for 3+years
College doesn't organise any fest or freshers but take money during admission

Placement Experience:

The placement of it department is very good. Right now the placement scenario of core branches has also improved. Companies like tcs, Wipro, IBM, tejas, offering a package ranging from 5-9 lpa. In core MN Dastur, acrelo mittal, Berger, itc, DCPL, Hamadi chemicals, HPL, woods, Wooley, etc. with a package range of 4.5-6.5.

Heritage - The foundation of wisdom.

Likes

Lots of clubs throughout the whole 4 years of undergrad in order to facilitate team building and practicing professional etiquettes
Free access to any classes and departments without any restrictions to develop inter- departmental knowledge sharing
Innovative and interactive projects are discussed thoroughly and are perfectly executed on order to bring about a great boost in knowledge

Dislikes

Provision for air conditioning is available only at very selected areas like library and auditoriums
Some reference books are not available to be taken outside library

Placement Experience:

Placements start coming right after the start of 7th semester. Almost all students get placed before or at the time of graduation. The average package is of around 5 LPA. Some companies offer bonds although there are a lot of companies that do not. Companies like Volvo, DCPL, Woods PLC, Tega Industries, Mahindra, Veedol, M N Dastur, Himadri Chemicals, Tata Advanced, etc. come here. My plan is to get into BARC as a scientific officer.

Structured course and excellent cooperation by the faculties
Cultural activities , Quizzing environment , Drama and Music , Sports
Placement facilities allowing all types of job roles to students , be it Tech , Core or Sales

Sudden changing of exam dates and re scheduling events

Eligibility for placement is from sem 7 Companies : Wood India , Worley , JMAN Technologies , PWC , TEGA , IBM , Grant Thorton , TCS , JARO Edu Tech , Keyence , Berger Paints , Archelor Mittal Design , Flakt group , Godrej and Boyce , Volvo & Eicher , ITC Foods , Himadri Chemicals , Veedol Engine Oil , Voith Paper Technology , Nissiki Technologies , Rinex , Corizo Edu Tech Average package : 4.5 LPA More than 50% people got placed My plans : to continue in Veedol where I'm placed right now

The dark side

Likes

There is no any class attendance criteria from the teacher end if you do the classes approx 30% to 40% then you will be safe.
The campus is big in West Bengal as compared to all other college

Dislikes

This college didn't give any freshers and Fest to the students
The college only takes exams from the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good all the things happen in smooth way but the college have to take care to take less exams as compared to now because they take lots of tests from students. Apart from that every thing is happen in good way.

one of the reason i appreciated most about my college was the vibrant intellectual community . the diversity of thought and the breadth of academic disciplines avialble fostered a stimulating shared endeavour

Dislikes

one aspect i disliked about my college was the bureauracy and administrative inefficiency. Navigating course registration ,financial aid and other administrative processes often involved long wait times and unclear instruction

Placement Experience:

placement is quite good enough ,average package is 7 lak per annum and aound 90 percents studets got placed precvvois year so its good i want to be placed in good company after me 4 year companies like tcs ibm wipro is good i want to get into any of these company

Heritage institute of technology comes in the top college of west bengal
Fee of hitk is 480000 for 4 years which is not quite high
You can take admission with both wbjee and jee mains rank

Dislikes

The campus size of college is not too big.
Placement of college is not quite high .
Boys hostel are not available in college

In terms of relevance course curriculum are highly optimised and curriculum focus on this generation demand which is necessary in next 5 to 10 years.but in 1st year we do not study about our main branch course..

the icrcullum is very busy they generally take class test every week and also it is necessary to attend it the generally take more than 20 lecture in the week which is already hectic for the student which might increae load on student

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.

The campus has a huge ground and it also has a large pond. It has a very well-maintained infrastructure. They also provide students with all the necessary facilities. The canteen serves very well but it is really expensive. But overall it is manageable for students.
