Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

the college campus is very nice and the faculty is great too.

Dislikes

theres nothing as such i dislike but we should get more time for our semester

Placement Experience:

it offers one of the best placement opportunities in the state the average on campus placement is about six lacks per annum all though there are some like extraordinary student who get like 50lacs someone even got a crore package

Likes

College campus was the best. It has 3 fields which are huge in size and are well maintained.
The canteen was too good there . In total , we had 3 canteens.

Dislikes

Class Test are too bad as they were taken on any dates (Surprise Exams)
Attendance was a issue so we had to maintain a decent attendance percentage

Course Curriculum Overview:

Surprise tests should be removed as soon as possible . The Question papers pattern is way too good but the number of exams in a semester is too much . 4 class Tests and then a semester exam . In total we had to appear for 5 exams in a Sem .

Campus is better than most of the colleges in west bengal

Dislikes

Placements are not upto the mark, companies do come but they hire for a very small amount
A proper student body doesn't exist , there have been no fests since last 4-5 years

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is pretty messed up, companies do come but most of them are mass recruiters from Kolkata and the package is just the bare minimum, we are allowed to sit in campus since the 7th semester. Companies like TCS, Cognizant Capgemini, EY are some of the major recruiters, highest package from campus goes around 10-12 LPA and average is around 4-4.5 LPA. Around 55-65% students get placed.

The college placement is decent .oncampus placement go at max till 10 lpa.while off campus placement go as high as 45 .Tpo of our college is very helpful and listen to whatever students say.majority of the students who appear for placement gets a job

Heritage Institute of technology- from an insider's perspective

Likes

The quality and infrastructure of laboratories are decent. Library is also decent
Improvement in skills is always encouraged and helped too by faculty
The mentorship and faculty exchange is mid to decent

Dislikes

There is no campus life for boys and thus comparatively less social interaction
The architecture of the buildings with all the glass is such it requires air conditioning due to trapped heat but there is no air conditioningre
There are almost nil chances of internship offered by college for Btech on an on campus basis

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester companies start coming in for on campus placements. The main companies are TCS (212 students placed), IITC INFOTECH(49), INFOSYS(45), COGNIZANT 45,WIPRO 21,PERSISTENT SYSTEMS 14, IBM 12 , CERNER CORPORATION 12, NINELAPS TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS 11. The average package is between 3 to 7 lacs. From Cse or IT almost 100? placed. I plan on higher studies

Best Private College in Kolkata

Likes

Here we good faculties for studies and there are proper lab for them.
Here company for core branches is also coming which gives good pakages for students
Heritage Library is very big and you can get many books there.

Dislikes

There is no fest for 3 years . I have not seen any cultural fest and program here.
There is no gym and swimming pool for the students here in engineering college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to explore electronic and communication engineering branch for knowledge. It is evergreen branch you can go in tech field and core field . As electronics hub is rising in India you can take Ece to get knowledge about it.

The True Picture

Likes

This college has hype of being good in kolkata.
It has a basketball court, sports ground and Archery facility.
Some of the professors are brilliant and it's good to know them.

Dislikes

The inclusion of 4 surprise class test instead of mid- sem.
All the college sports property is mainly school property and college students can go to play after 3.30 pm only.
Strict in and out time in the college campus is not good

Placement Experience:

campus placements are low because mass recruiters come and hire a lot of student but with low package of 3.8 lacs Other than that some good companies come with package upto 15 lacs but often hire anybody.

Look this before taking admission

Campus is not big but look is fantastic.
Canteen is good. U can get food at affordable price .
Lovely college . Environment of college is very clear

Dislikes

College do not have boys hostel . This is bad for students who comes from outside.
Most of the classes do not have AC. But all the computer lab have AC.
Non Bengali student stuck is some language issue. But most of the professor use English as a primary language.

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the courses provided by college is on the basis of AICT . And credit point based course are provided and all these are based AICT based. Yearly fest is being held. And any individual are free to participate.

No need to worry about attendance too much
The central library is very much spacious and one can study there if they want.
Teachers are friendly and helps you through out

Dislikes

The new surprise tests sucks. The one Who planned this must be have his brain in his knees.
Sometimes teachers are too casual that they did not bother to finish the syllabus specially in final years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is mainly focused on the specific course the students is doing. Other than that they have to study some common subjects regardless of the branch they are in. But there are no specific guidance in terms of placement one have to prepare on his/ her own to crack placements.

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.
