Well it's best for girls. There will no distraction and deviation. the faculty is awesome one they are superb at there work. Atleast the whole curriculum is designed in such a way that knowledge as well as exposure is provided.

The college has a good name and receives awards from institutions such as times, but the education system is not good at all. Being a practical subject, we haven't been taken outside the classroom even once.

I wanted to experience a course which would provide me with more practical knowledge than theory. Journalism and Mass communication seemed to be one such course. I applied to 4 colleges in Kolkata which provided this course and got into 3 of them. I chose Shri Shikshayatan College as it was well reputed in the city(not for all the courses). The admission process involved submitting a form with the 10th and 12th marksheet. The process is completely based on merit list.

It is a good college, undoubtedly. However, it seriously needs more dynamic academicians, who are up to date and also needs a campus. The campus life is practically non-existent. Talking about my department, the teachers drastically vary from great to outdated.

College has a well-maintained infrastructure. They have very nice faculty in each stream. The college is well known for its discipline. Rule and regulation is strict regarding attendance. The classroom are fully air-conditioned.

My college is among the top colleges not only in West Bengal but also in India too. I am proud to be part of this institution for past two and half years. All types of cultural events,starting from Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti. Beside such events we have our own College Fest "SRIJAN", sports and annual day is also held in our college campus. We even do celebrate teachers day, may day, we even organise inter college programs.

In every college, there are somes pros and cons. Counting of pros are neverending. The positive ones are capable of defeating the negative points. Therefore I would like to say count the blessings and join.

Positive Remark- Great extracurriculum, vast array of books int the library for the students to refer from. Very helpful and attentive College faculty. Negative Remark- Could improve on teaching staff.

The college is just like a second home to us. But i think they should improve their office facculty. But overall the college provides you with the best environment and comfort so that you can reach success .

The college has many positive aspects as mentioned earlier but looking towards the negative things the college needs to work on their infrastructure a little more and even they need to work more on the other possible things
