It's like when you enter the college it seems like a white bungalow like president house resort something like you know very precious and costliest hotel luxurious hotel.
Scholarships are provided to bright students and the reserved sections.
The faculty is skilled and they have a positive approach towards us

Dislikes

The college timings it starts from 8 in the morning, the time table is not so good and about teaching staff there are good and bad .
The principal is not good, as you may heard the Shruti scandal ??
Drinking water facilities are very poor.

IPCW: good option or not?

It's an all girls college, hence it's very safe for the girls and the whole vibe of the college is amazing because of it. It's amazing to see the girlhood among the students and that sets this college apart from the other coed colleges.
The campus is beautiful, with greenary, birds, butterflies and flowers giving us ample enough locations to click beautiful pictures.
The college is academically inclined hence there are some of the best students of the university here.

Dislikes

Placements are not that great although if you have a good cgpa you can manage to bag a good one.

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell of its own called J.E.E.T. which provides various kinds of internships to students across all courses. The placement is also decent if you have a good cgpa, although students mostly go for masters after graduation.

The campus is know for its greenery and architecture i like that about my college.it also has well maintained classrooms , libraries ,laboratories and other modern facilities
I like the extracurricular activities about my college it offers a wide range of opportunities like the debate club , cultural societies and sport activities
Being a women's college IPCW places a strong emphasis for empowering women , both academically and personally through various seminars and workshops.

Dislikes

I disliked the strict rules and regulations regarding attendance, discipline,and hostel regulations which might feel restrictive to some students
And i disliked the academic environment of Indraprastha college its highly competitive that makes the students stressful who prefer a relaxed and calm environment
And i disliked the faculties. The way some of them behave and their poor knowledge of certain topics.i also disliked the way the pronounce certain words it made me doubt if im studying in a central university

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for campus placements from second year onwards. Im s fresher and i have no idea about the companies. But i have heard about the package in north campus it 24 L per annum Almost 70 percentage of students get placements I plan to do some professional course after degree

My experience of IPCW, DU

I'm in a girls college and I think ipcw have a great ambience and one other best college building of Delhi University as it was a colonial building.
Societies are very active and will offer you a great opportunity to excel in co curriculum also. And weekly seminar and department fest are the best to enhance the diversity of college of different ethnicity people
College staff is very supporting and helpful and college canteen is also very affordable and nice food.

Dislikes

it is very isolated, doesn't support election not even allow other colleges students for fest.
Worst part is classes from 8 am and ending on 5 pm with lots of gap ending in ruining your whole day.
There is no off even on Saturday it seems much more like a school than a college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think History honours is a nice course if you are really delved into history and curious to know it's comprehensiveness. I've choosen this course because I just wanted to know everything what happened in the past..my curiosity forced me to choose this course. In exams , sometimes timing makes it difficult to write such long answers in a specified time but otherwise it is a nice subject to study.

Indraprastha college for women

Likes

Infrastructure of the college is good . Provides all the basic amenities.
Faculty was quite good and cooperative with students.
College provides diverse courses with affordable fees

Dislikes

The faculty was recently changed and the new faculty recruited is not as good as the old facility. Very few teachers are good only.
Food given in canteen is not of good quality and the prices are very high
The fests and the events in college are not so good

I enjoyed studying sociology in my 11th and 12th class. That made me opt for sociology and the course is quite interesting (depends upon how it is taught) . I found it very relatable with the society, some thinkers are difficult to understand but not so difficult. The students should be more engaged in field work, as they'll be able to relate more. The frequency and timing of exam is perfect.

Academics is very good. We are very active on the academic front so the students studying in this college gain enough potential for higher studies that they are opting for. Moreover there are a lot of opportunities that one must get in this college.
The co-ciricular activities in the college are very good. Students are exposed to a very broad background of numerous activities other than academics.
The faculty that is the teaching staff in the college is very very interactive and supportive. They develop new ideas to teach the students in the class.

Dislikes

The canteen food is not something to flex in the college. The food quality is very poor and not tasty. And adding to it, the food is expensive too.
Schedule for classes is something that isn't very good either. Early morning classes that end around 5:30 in the evening is something that gets us tired.
Sometimes classes get cancelled at the very end moment which is another thing that pissed students off in the campus.

Placement Experience:

Second year. I didn't apply for any placement as I'm from history background. Highest i guess is 12 lakhs, average is 5 lakhs. 38% of students get placementds from the college. I'd opt for masters in the same course.

A view On IPCW

The beauty of the campus is fully visible in each and every weather,even it provides an aesthetic look during various seasons.The white historical buildings give a look of old beauty.
The professor especially of political science department are very supportive, caring and understanding.They will help you out in every situation and the way of their teaching is also appreciable.
Various sports arena like basketball court,lawn tennis, badminton,gym, boxing and many more sports activities are provided in the college and had a proper space for it.

Dislikes

The college canteen is not good,even feel like it is overpriced when comparing with the taste . Although it provides an ample amount of dishes are provided in the menu.
The annual fest conducted by the college SHRUTI is not happen in a manner it should be, because everything is under proffesors and they conduct the event,so I can say it is not the one we dream of.Its like average.
The dissolution of student union and department union is something which led to students not to get proper support or keep their opinions easily to the authority as there is no such representative from all of us.

As I did my 12 in humanities stream and planning to go for proffesorship because of which I pursued this subject. If one look at overall perspective for this course,it enrich our knowledge and provide various perspective of visualising things happening around the world with providing a critical opinion on various topics.

the most beautiful college in delhi university, we have variety of flora and fauna all our the campus.
Infrastructure of indraprastha is very beautiful. The campus has so many cats🫶🏻
Its a very big campus, and expensive area also.

Dislikes

Our timetable is very hectic, it’s a very academic college.

I think the curriculums are a really good opportunity to learn something apart from your degree, there are so many options, with theory and practical papers. The classes are interesting if you have the course of your choice, there are activities with skits, speeches, group discussions, etc. The curriculum period happens once a week for for 3-4 hours.

The course syructure is really relevant, especially the foreign policy and public administration structure. The overall course structure and the information provided helped me prepare thoroughly for the cyrt pg exam

Placement Experience:

The placement that comes in our college are from companies like white junior and many more like its annual packages the five to seven lakh per Annum. It was quite easy for us to fill up for the placement but only the desired and dedicated one was selected and there has been success stories of getting placed to a good company.

Knowledgeable Faculty, Supportive teachers, provides/recommend materials to study
Library and Ground is huge, special attention on cleanliness, Proper waste management, Compost pits and rainwater harvesting pits present on campus.
Special arrangements for the physically challenged students. Entire cell /society is dedicated to them known as Maitri

My Course is B.A. Program (Hindi and History). When i got admission in history course, i didnt liked the subject at all. But as the classes in the college proceeded, the faculty was so nice and helpful that after studying it for almost 3 years now, the teachers made me fall in love with history. Now, i like the subject very much. It interests me. Exams are not very difficult, the marks are based upon how much you study.
