Miranda House Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The campus gives internships from 1st semester only but for college placement, students can sit from the 5th semester. variety of companies come to the college like a startup company, mnc, like Wipro, Chegg India, etc. the highest package is around 24lakhs per annum and the average is 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placement is around 70 percent. I am planning to go for higher studies.

Not even a single student got placed in my course. No company comes for Chemistry students. I am dissatisfied with placements. After getting the degree, I am pursuing a master's in chemistry because very limited no. of jobs are available for students with bachelor's degrees.

Faculty members are highly qualified and very experienced. They have done their PhDs from prestigious institutes in their relevant subjects. Also, they are very polite and humble, a student can easily connect with them. They have the good subject knowledge, you get to learn so many things apart from your subject also. College follows the guidelines of the University of Delhi. Semester exams are average, not very easy not very tough, one can easily pass if studied well.

There is nothing about placements as such in this course. You've to apply to schools that you like after you've graduated. You'll have to give the exams of that school if you're applying for a government school. You'll get preference over others since you'll be a pass out from Miranda, but it won't guarantee you a job. Of course, you can do your Master's and doctorate after you graduate to aim for higher posts. Or you can take up a job at a school and complete your master's from distance mode. As for me, I've planned on joining a government school in Mumbai. Since I've always been in love with that place since I was a child. I want to settle there. And a government school because the salaries are good. The starting salary of a normal teacher at a government school is 60,000 INR monthly which is quite decent when you compare it with other professions.

Exams were held as per the semester system. The students attending regular classes can easily score well in internal practicals as well as final exams. 4 hours were dedicated for the lab per week per subject in practical classes and so in the practical exam however if someone needs more time to complete the experiment her time can be extended for 6 hours. As the teachers are very dedicated. They complete their syllabus on time and any student can ask doubt anytime, so a punctual and obedient student who regularly attends classes can easily score high marks and can also clear competitive exams of her subject.

From semester 5th students are eligible for campus placements. Several companies came to college but I am not aware of the names of them and as most of the students were to pursue MSc further so very few offers were made. Not aware of the exact CTC and further details of offers. 10-20 maximum. I am preparing for UPSC.

4th year students are eligible for placement. As per the information they say it’s 100% placement, but placement depends on the student also that how he/she is doing in studies and submission of assignments and all.

The placement cell works actively. You have access to big companies given the No. 1 NIRF ranking. You have access to internships from the first semester and placement opportunities from the fifth semester. The placements are exceptionally good for courses dealing with Economics, Maths, Computer Science, Sciences, etc.

There are 2 semester per year. But we have to give practice exams so that we can get good marks. Those practice exams are very helpful as they are the signs of having knowledge or not. The person who studies hard will get good marks and will not find anything difficult. But the one who only studies during exam will get bad marks.

Our college offers placement, in the 5th semester they can start to avail placements. The whole placement procedure is done by the placement cell. Many companies like Accenture, byjus, Dshaw etc . The highest salary package 20 lakh annually, and the average package can be like 6-7 lakh annually. The percentage of students placed is totally dependent on how many applied. Mostly 60-70% of students get placement. After my degree, I'm going to pursue a master's in computer applications.
