The placements are majorly for economics and B.Com students. The art students don't get a lot of opportunities for their placements. I did the B. A program and I couldn't get any placements from MNC's. For art students, the placements were not so good.
From the 5th semester, people are eligible for the placement cell. Many companies visit, 80-90% of students do get placed.
My plan after getting the degree is to go for my post-graduation abroad and will most probably settle in there.
The students become eligible for placements in the third year but students of all the years are informed regularly about the internships by our placement cell which is really active. They offer good stipend which can be really helpful if you want to earn some money in your college life. Since majority of the students opt for masters after BSc, the placements are really less, even lesser in covid.
Our college provides campus placement after finishing of the degree. The average package is of 5-6 lakhs p.a and the highest was of 10-12 lakhs. The percentage of students changes in different courses of getting the placements.
Students can apply in the placement cell from the first semester itself. The placement cell is quite active and holds seminars, workshops often. They also post internship and/or fresher's opportunities a lot.
Placements were quite good students of the 5th and 6th sem were able to seat in placements. Big companies like KPMG, tata amazon comes to college. The highest CTC was 8 lacs and the average was 3 to 4 To lacs. Almost 70 to 75% of students got placed.
There are many companies that visit our college for recruiting students like HCL, Policy Bazaar, KPMG, and many more. In BCom Hons 50% of student gets placed or get an internship in different firms. the highest package is 6 lakhs and the lowest is 2.6 lakhs.
The college is a highly popular Government College in my area and as I wanted to do my B.Com from a Public institute, I opted for MLNC.The experience at MLNC was good because the college is also given NAAC recognition which was totally visible through the education services in the college. Admission process for our B.Com was also like other UG courses as the admission was based on cut-off and Merit.
Placements: About 25% of the students are pursuing B.Com (Hons) out of total students of our college. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA, which is very good. ... About 57% of the students got internships in different companies.
Motilal Nehru College is one of the best colleges under Delhi University. It offers so many courses with combination mode and honours mode. The admission is done on the basis of entrance test. The best cut off holders can enter the course. Remaining students can enter in the basis of cut off released after first cut off. Registration starts from August every year.
