The scholarship also grants to good students, their placement training and assistance are brilliant, and our college is always ranked in the highest placement ratio.
Our college gives a huge opportunity to each and every student to get placed in the reputed company and they can a get a good idea of how the interview done
Teachers are really helpful and are passionate about their subject and motivate us to make changes in the learning experience .they provide helpful meaningful notes for students to prepare for exam.they do listen to students suggestions while teaching.

Dislikes

College canteen is not so good. the food they provide its not good
The average package is very low . last placements were not so good .
Hostels are not good there..students prefer more for pg and own flat,as hostels also don't have good mess as there foods are not good.

UEM,KOLKATA REVIEW

If students are dedicated for study college will help them to getting placed at TCS, WIPRO, Cognizant, Accenture.
Any student does not studied at 12th standard and he has potential UEM is the second opportunity for him.
College have fully equipped classrooms and labs as well as huge library.

Dislikes

Facilities are not top-notch many of the computer labs are full with faulty computers and college is in growing days the infrastructure was not good.
Placement preparation strategy need to change . College need to give more exposure and resources to the students.
Faculty members are generally competent ,but some may lack sufficient expertise. Additionally, certain higher authority members exhibit inappropriate behavior towards students.

Placement Experience:

This College is mainly known about its strict curriculam and Placement . From 3rd year end students are eleigible for placement but mostly placement done at 7th semester onwards. Nearly 90% above students got placed every year but 2024 scenario is different 30-40% students placed only. TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture, LTIMindtree and many startups visits the college.

Placement opinion regarding OJT

Likes

Professors are the most favourable factors of our university.
Course had a brief lesson regarding each and everything
Placement cell is also supportive regarding campus placements

Dislikes

The distance between my home and my college
The time taken to reach the university everyday
Scarcity of resources outside the college

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester or before also according to NOC. IEMA with highest package of 7200000, TCS,Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant. 97 percentage of students are getting placed through campus placements. I am willing to do MBA after my bachelor's.

College details

Likes

Good Faculty, they have good knowledge and teach well.
Good labs with equipment every students get one instrument
Freedom to talk with teachers after college ends.

Dislikes

We are not allowed to leave college campus once it starts.
More of practical knowledge should be implemented
Uniforms should be discontinued, students should be allowed to wear what they want

Placement Experience:

Placement records are quite good with most students getting placed with a average salary of Rs. 848000 and the highest package offered being Rs. 7500000 per annum. TCS, INFOSIS, CONNIZANT and many more companies visit

The experience of uem

Likes

The friendlyness of the seniors of our college
Helps that are provided by the faculty staffs
The cafeteria in our college is good also the staffs there.

Dislikes

The too much pressure that are given for the attendance.
The overcrowded area during lunch breaks
No time to enjoy during the college hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very tedious as non sensical subjects are being taught as studying engineering, subjects like - History, Geography, EVS, Finance, etc. Though their are many other subjects which are very Important like software engineering, Computer architecture and organizations, etc.

Disciplined, very good students as well as teachers

Very strict, not too much fest, not too much sport involvement

I wanted to pursue LLB for a long time so I choose this course. The faculty members gives real life examples to teach the students they also held moot court competitions to make the practice of students more better.

Likes

We have not experienced any campus life so we don't know
The facilities in our college are sob Frank and pay attention to all students

Dislikes

Alot of rules we have to follow daily it's a school none other than a college
College makes problem in the time of exam for low attendance
Placements is not as expected as they show

From the third sem all the students are eligible for campus placement and it compulsory for all the students The IT companies like TCS Infosys Wipro etc visit and give campusing and placement in our college

The Harsh reality of UEM KOLKATA

Likes

Some faculties are very helpful. They behave well and help us out with our problems
Intra UEM football league is a good one.
Air conditioners in most hall. Big screens to ensure students seating at back can see

Clubs not maintained properly and there is no support from authorities

When I got admission i got the info that the placement and campusing department of this college is very good. But as days are passing the rate of placement is decreasing rapidly. This year very few students got placed. I am planning to complete higher education and then go for jobs.

Why am I getting so negative reviews about UEM Kolkata?

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:

It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.

These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.
