The scholarship also grants to good students, their placement training and assistance are brilliant, and our college is always ranked in the highest placement ratio.
Our college gives a huge opportunity to each and every student to get placed in the reputed company and they can a get a good idea of how the interview done
Teachers are really helpful and are passionate about their subject and motivate us to make changes in the learning experience .they provide helpful meaningful notes for students to prepare for exam.they do listen to students suggestions while teaching.

Dislikes

College canteen is not so good. the food they provide its not good
The average package is very low . last placements were not so good .
Hostels are not good there..students prefer more for pg and own flat,as hostels also don't have good mess as there foods are not good.

Choose your college wisely

Likes

The overall college is good the faculty is good
The friends circle and others is quite good here
The fest and football competition also makes it quite good

Dislikes

The debarred system when you don't have 75 percentage attendance
The timing you cannot leave the campus before 4:30

The college is one of the good private colleges in Kolkata and it has a good placement record and the teaching methods are good here and faculty also they give a lot of pressure on studies and ensure that we get a good education

I always had an interest for nano technology so I chose electronics and communication engineering.i really got to know many things from college actually. Various competitions and various seminars were also held from eminent personalities.

Likes

Campus placements are really good and provide a place for internships.
Various types of fests occur which are really enjoyable.
Different types of tournaments and games occur.

Dislikes

There is so much strictness of attendance.
College campus is not that vast , it could be a little bigger.
There is no ground available inside the college campus for cricket and football.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many MNC's such as TCS, Wipro, Cognizant etc visited and many students get multiple offers. Highest package offered is 12-18 lacks per annum and average package is 3.2 lacks per annum. On an average 90% students get placements every year. After getting my degree I will work in corporate sector or I will apply for Government jobs.

Academic factor and highly educated and reputed faculty
The extra curriculum activities that take place
Placements records the university holds.

Dislikes

The campus is not quite big and no ground in college campus.
Attendence system could be a little forgiving.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Each year many companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, WIPRO, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, PWC, Telecom Network Solution (TNS) and many more companies visit for recruitment and many students gets multiple offers from different companies. The highest pacakage is 72 lacks per annum and the average pacakage is 3.2 lacks per annum. Almost 95% students gets placed each year. My plan is to look for a secure job and be financially stable after getting my degree.

Placement opportunities is very high in this college
Faculty members are good and supportive in case of any
There are many clubs. Sports club and other few clubs are too amazing here

Dislikes

There is high student number which increases competition in placement opportunities
There is no hostels inside the campus. All hostels are at some distant
There is very strict environment. You cannot enjoy there except break hour

College claims that 100 percent students are placed Many companies came for in campus placement including infosis samsung and many other MNCs Highest package claimed by college is 72 lakh And average package is 8 lakhs for cse branch

The infrastructure of this college is way beautifull than any other college in kolkata and that is what i like about this college .
this college is the number one private college of kolkata and that is what i like about this college

Dislikes

There is nothing that can be disliked by me for this college but yes some students do not like the boys hostels and the its food.

I choose this course because Btech is a very versatile course . This couse gives freedom to constantly laerns new things and enhance you in the way that is very helpfull in professional and personal life as well .All faculty members are well educated and have experience as well.

Classrooms are very good. Those are neat and clean

Size of campus is small. It is the only thing I dislike.

My own college review.

Likes

Excellent laboratory facilities for the students with well equipped computer.
Well equipped research labs for every department, having cutting edge computers
High speed wifi, which is free for the students.

Dislikes

The uniform is uncomfortable and unbreathable
Excessive strictness is shown regarding the entry and the exit timing.

Placement Experience:

The students are allowed to sit for the placement exams from the 7th semester. Every student gets atleast 1 job offer from the companies that visit the campus. Companies like TCS, Capegemini, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys and many other service based company comes to hire the students

UEM Kolkata

Teachers way of teaching. They really teach very well.
Gate preparation. This is the only campus in West Bengal where they provide free Gate coaching which is really beneficial for us.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements were quite good upto 2023 batch. But this year many companies are not hiring employees anymore which is the major reason for the downfall in Campus placements. I hope the situation will get better next year. Last year the highest package was 72 LPA and average package was 8.83 LPA. This year till now only 184 students got their placements and many are yet to get. I am planning for doing m.tech after this degree.

No direct train connection available. Becomes costlier to travel.

Why am I getting so negative reviews about UEM Kolkata?

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:

It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.

These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.
