The scholarship also grants to good students, their placement training and assistance are brilliant, and our college is always ranked in the highest placement ratio.
Our college gives a huge opportunity to each and every student to get placed in the reputed company and they can a get a good idea of how the interview done
Teachers are really helpful and are passionate about their subject and motivate us to make changes in the learning experience .they provide helpful meaningful notes for students to prepare for exam.they do listen to students suggestions while teaching.

Dislikes

College canteen is not so good. the food they provide its not good
The average package is very low . last placements were not so good .
Hostels are not good there..students prefer more for pg and own flat,as hostels also don't have good mess as there foods are not good.

Uem- a decent college in kolkata

Likes

Pretty good environment and teachers try to communicate
Rules are really strict and college always wants to follow the rules
The placements of previous years were a success .90%

Dislikes

The placement department is unable to provide placement this year
Though the placement this year is only 15-30% but the college is telling that the placement rate is good

Placement Experience:

The placement was very very good jn previous years. The total placement was around 90% and big mncs like accenture, tcs, capgemini , cognizant came to college for on campus drive in previous years. And there are lots of small to big start ups coming also. The average package can varry from 5-6 lpa. But this year 2024 due to recession the things were different . The only agency who hired in bulk was accenture . Capgemini came for only girls and TCS oncampus came but only selected 70 students have given the test from which only 40 were selected . 3-4 peoples selected in prime and the rest were selected in ninja and digital.there are some start up companies which came but they are taking only 1-2 students . So untill june 2024 only max to max 30% of the students got placed

Likes

Nothing is good in this college, always torchering students in the name of placements.

Dislikes

Nothing is proper in this college as always.

Placement Experience:

Placement is quite moderate as per my knowledge and total placement is never revealed before the students. But the college takes very method to not allow students to seat in placements. But overall it's ok.

Likes

this college is one of the best college in kolkata
infrastructure is good and there is good library facility also
the teachers are very supportive and good teaching provided

Dislikes

the play ground is a little bit small which need to improve
tough rules and regulation which is actually good
everyday you have to come with proper uniform

Placement Experience:

The best thing of the college is placement. It is one of the best college of kolkata for placement record . companies like TCS, COGNIZANT, CAPGEMINI, INFOSYS visited in our college. Highest package is 7200000 pa. Average package is 6 to7 lakhs pa.

Likes

Our University campus is very good though it is small but it is very good for students, they can play cricket, football etc.
The infrastructure of our college is quite good for students and they also love this environment
The faculties of our University is very good . They are well educated and is a great human.

Dislikes

The college campus are not so big that's why the students are not get very large place to play.
The duration of the classes are very long and that are very boaring for students.
The college disciplines are very strict. You have to maintain proper dress court for all time inside college campuses

Placement Experience:

The placement record of our college is very satisfied. Many students are get placed every year. And they are also well educated. The average package of our University is 4.5 lac per annum. And the highest package of our University is 72 lac per annum

Bca at UEM

Likes

Some faculty are supportive and will help
People of all backgrounds and states are here
Quite clean and maintained campus washrooms are pretty clean

Dislikes

Horrendous network connectivity in campus
Labs have no air conditioning so it gets very hot in summer
Canteens and cafe items are very overpriced

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is at par with other private colleges ie under makaut but considering it is an autonomous University the syllabus could have been better suited to industry standards like what is the importance of hand written assignments in computer application labs. faculty is helpful and also qualified.

Likes

Strict curriculum about students who are thought they can bunk or skip college
Pretty faculties and some of their teaching skills
Every lab is well furnished and good accomodable

Dislikes

Computer lab because the huge quantity of computer is not working
History geography Pol science economics is not required for who thought to job in IT sector
Some teachers were not too much eligible for teaching

Best placement because some companies who will come IEM also come IEM It is good but they also give attention about coding Coding teaching ability and computer lab computer Exam are difficult some time some out of syllabus questions also come and timing of exam is not too good the do not give to time for read

Review of my college UEMK

Likes

Some pretty Faculty are helpful, they motivated us very well
Labs except computer labs are well-equipped
Strict rules of the college ultimately trained us for the hard world

Dislikes

Labs are not up to the mark like computer labs are ridiculous (Intel Pentium dual-core processor)
The campus is just awful. You are not allowed to exit the college till 04:15 pm as all the gates are closed 🔒.

Placement Experience:

• After 6 th semester students are allowed to sit for campus placement. • Brands like TCS, WIPRO, and Infosys are bulk recruiters. • The highest package was 72 Lpa(off-campus from UEM Jaipur) but the actual scenario is different average package is around 1.5-2.5 LPA • Around 40-50% of students getting on-campus placements. • My plan is to pursue higher education.

Likes

The faculty members and the course structure
Situated in Kolkata this is a good city .
I like the cse course structure c, c++, python, Java

Dislikes

Small campus this is a very bad thing ...
So much study pressure, exam pressure in that University
No placement last 2 years this is problem

Last 3 years ago the placement was good but recently for the ressesion placements are down approx 3.5 lakhs is avarage pakacge in this university and highest pakage is 10 lakh per annum . This is the placement report

Likes

Good faculty, they have knowledge about what they are teaching.
Good practical labs for studying, with good syllabus
Many Clubs are fests to participate in and grow knowledge

Dislikes

More of practical knowledge should be implemented
Students should be allowed to leave the college campus when they want
College uniforms should be discontinued and normal dresses should be allowed

Course Curriculum Overview:

Practical knowledge prepares us for the outside world, a good syllabus is followed along with good faculty members who are knowledgeable. More of practical classes should be conducted rather than theoretical papers.

UEM Kolkata Review

Likes

The education system and the syllabus covered
The facilities provided by the college like library, sports , and various internship opportunities
The placement stats, and the helpful faculty members

Behaviour of some faculties and staffs in the college
Excessive strictness and discipline enforced, which is not always essential
The classrooms are not air conditioned, and the washrooms are not properly cleaned

The specifiic aspect of the curriculum is that the computer science part which influenced my descision to choose this course. The curriculum prepares you really well for real-life applications. Most of the faculties are quite good, but for some I feel there are areas of improvement. The semester exams are quite difficult here

Why am I getting so negative reviews about UEM Kolkata?

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:

It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.

These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.
