SGSITS Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

After 3rd-year students are eligible to sit on campus. The highest package was 44 lakhs and the average was 5 lakhs. Many prestigious companies like Microsoft Amazon Google came every year and around 70% to 80% of students are getting placements. After completing my degree I wanted to do my post-graduation from abroad.

The placement here is really good. College records 100% of placement. Students are eligible for placement from the final year. Companies like Cipla, Dr. Reddy's laboratories, SunPharma, etc come here for placement. My plans after getting a degree are to pursue masters in pharmacy

From the 4th semester, you are eligible to get an internship via placement departments and from the 6th semester eligible for campus drives. The company visited are many, you can refer to the college website but the maximum company are from the IT sector, asking for a programming background at minimum offers like 3.5lac package irrespective of the branch. Highest package ranges from 15-20 lacs per annum. Maximum students from branches except for CSE OR IT prepare for various exam like gate, ese, civil services exam (core branches).

S.G.S.I.T.S is one of the oldest and well established technical institutes in the country (Since 1952). Often monikered as the IIT of MP (before the establishment of the actual IIT Indore). With the reputation of best state run institute in MP SGSITS becomes a no-brainer choice for every engineering aspirant missing out on a probable NIT seat. The admission process goes through several counselling rounds run by DTE(Directorate of Technical Education) with the cut-off set on JEE-MAINS score. With satisfactory campus selection ratio, fine location and positive environment and a NITesque feel go for SGSITS.

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th sem ie starting of the 4th year. But students have to register themselves for placement from the 6th sem itself. Various companies come to college both core and non core branches and every student can sit for any company to fulfil the criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The highest package offered is around 22 lacs per annum and the average is 6 lacs per annum. Almost 80 percent of students get placement in well known companies. I plan to crack the ESE exam after getting an electrical engineering degree.

Because it is one of oldest engineering college in the state with good numbers of placements and companies taking them. The bad thing about our college is, we don't usually get any kind of fest.They take admissions on the basis of your JEE main marks. therefore placements are very good. They usually take admissions in the month of June-July. I chose this college because its a better college than some NITS and is also not too far from my home.

The placements record in BE is excellent. The highest package for placement season for BE 2019-2020 was 22 LPA and the average was 7 LPA. Companies like Goldman Sachs, qauntiphi, Wipro, Infosys, addverb etc are the regular recruiter of the college.

It was best college of state with good placements and teachers. Your rank in jee mains must be close to 15,000 to get EC and 10,000 to get CS. There are many clubs in college that will help you in persobality development. Students here are ambitious and self motivated towards there goals. There are many technical clubs like robotics and sae which represent college at national level.

I preferred SGSITS because I was getting the branch I needed, also the placement opportunities were very exciting. The campus is good. The Alums of the college have made histories in various Hackathons and Competitions. Also, Hostel and mess facilities were there which was a plus point. I preferred to QUORA for searching the rank list of various Institute and to know about their plus points.

Pro : This is MPs top state College. It actually considered at par to NIT, Bhopal in some facilities. College is autonomous and really focus on academics. Cons : Few department are strict than needed. People don't know about college outside MP. Reason for preferring it : good job opportunities and MP top state college
