Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing Electronics and communication engineering. The course curriculum is same along so many years. Although the labs are good and highly equipped. Exams: their is a mid sem of 25 marks and end sem of 60 marks and internal is 15 marks.
Placement Experience
Plenty of companies visit our college as it is a national college. Almost all the students gets placed and remaining pursue higher studies. Companies provide internship for 3rd year students. Top companies visiting our college are Microsoft, Qualcomm, Adobe, JP Morgan etc.
College Events
Their are around 20 clubs/societies in our college which conducts different events throughout the year. Their is a techno management fest named Aarohan and cultural fest named Recstacy. Participation is very high in the fests. People all around from west bengal comes for the fest. Huge cash prizes are their in the fest for different events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure depends on the annual income of the family. If it is above 5 lacs then around 69k per semester. Between 1 to 5 lacs then around 27k per semester. And if below 1 lac then 7k per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Their is a lot of scholarship opportunities for backward class students and academically intelligent students. Student loans are provided inside college by State Bank of India which has a branch inside college itself.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is 9:1(boys:girls). Sports facilities is high class. All the sports are played in the college and it is compulsory for the first years to opt for any sport and it is a credit course.Different workshops are their for different courses.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very old but facilities are provided. Around 15k is the fees for hostel and food. 3 sharing rooms are provided till 3rd year and final year is single sharing. It is compulsory for the students to take hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
It is important to have a connect with the seniors. They guide you throughout the college life. Their is an alumni cell for the connection with the alumni. They maintain all the database. Seniors are very helpful.
Admission
Admission in this college is from entrance exam after class 12 i.e. through JEE mains. You can choose any NIT based on your rank through counselling. Minimum 75% is required in boards though. You need to freeze your seat and report at the respective college to confirm your seat.
Faculty
Faculty are very much qualified and experienced. They boost the confidence of students and help them through their research work. You can approach any faculty for project work or guidance and can contact them through email. Contact is provided on the website of the college.
