Got the college by JOSAA counselling in the second round. Near my home, only 4 hours of travelling. One of the best institutions in West Bengal you can get through JEE Mains. Campus is pretty big and beautiful. Faculty members are cooperative.
Course Curriculum Overview
ECE department one of the best departments in NIT Durgapur. Faculties are very highly qualified and cooperative. Academics are very well balanced and professors take enough time to complete them. Assignments given on regular basis.
Placement Experience
The placements are pretty good considering students from Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. For branches like BT, CH, MME, CE the placement rates are relatively low.
College Events
Many events take place throughout the year. The annual fest - Nityamini where renowned artists, singers and comedians come. The two annual tech events namely Aarohan and Aavishkar. Further E Summit held by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I did not avail for a scholarship. As of now there are no loan facility available in our college. However, people giving exams like DASA and ICCR are accepted in our college. The ICCR students are paid monthly stipend.
Campus Life
There are 14 hostels in total. 4 hostels are for girls and the rest for boys. Has two grounds - Lord's and Ovals. Has a gym, a basketball court, a tennis court. An AC auditorium. The new academic building has spacious classrooms.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for hostels. The first year hostel is a bit small and clumsy. However the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year hostels are pretty good. Wifi is available 24×7. Hostel rooms are pretty spacious and bathrooms are bigger.
