Remarks
The education system in college is very good and there are lots of placements in theses college,the college environment is very nice,there's ground to play sports and games.The college management was very excellent. The lab equipments are available for all students and professors make the students to learn how to use those equipments.I am from out of state so there is little bit language problem at the starting of the college to communicate.The food in the institute was not so much good it is average.The college is in outskirts of the city since we have to travel 1hr journey to reach the railway or bus station.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very fantastic and the academics are also very good. The faculty was extraordinary they clear every doubt.if we have. The faculty is very strict in the academics.they will never excuse if we make a nuisance in the class in the middle of lectures. The entire education system is very nice in college.
Placement Experience
The Placements are pretty decent at NIT Durgapur.Approximately 100 companies, both giants and start ups from almost all sectors visit for recruitment every year and the alumni base is getting strong year after year. To name a few, Oracle, Reliance, Tata, Endurance, ITC, HUL, Amazon, Factset, Directi, Maruti, Honda etc. If no placements are offered we can go through our gate rank if we have good rank.if we not have we can attend some written tests and interviews to get job
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is about 90000 for students but there is an exceptional fee for the students who are coming from the families of BPL( below poverty line).The students from BPL will have less fee than normal students.we can get educational loan for our academics.Almost students will get selected in the campus interviews.Some the students will get selected for internship in 3rd year only.The job offered in the campus interviews will have almost nice package.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are good.The mess serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The menu is decided by the mess committee members of the respective halls. Good food once a week (Special). The other days, its just okay type of food. You will get bored of it within a few weeks.
Admission
Yes we face written test to have admission in the nit. The written test is known JEE mains which was conducted through out the nation for 12 or 12+ students. The test is for 360 when we written but now it is for 300,it is conducted by nta at present.The ranks were given according to our marks.Based on the ranks we get seats in certain nits or IITs or IIITs.I prepared very hard to get JEE mains rank to achieve seat in nit.The jee advanced exam is so much tough than the jee mains.The jee advanced exam pattern is can't be predicted.The jee advanced papers was prepared by some top IITs.
