NIT DURGAPUR is one of the top NITs and studying in a prestigious college is every person's dream so according to my JEE MAINS score this was the best college I could get. It's infrastructure and faculty is also top notch many professors are involved in research work.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is nice but the thing is due to pandemic the first two semesters were made around 3 to 4 months only instead of 6. That brought a little burden of exams.I did choose this engineering field as I have little inclination towards tech from class 9 onwards. As I mentioned earlier Faculty is top notch the professors are really helpful in online classes. (PS: Exceptions do exist).
Internships Opportunities
The seniors moving to 3rd years are eligible to sit for college internship opportunities. Anyone can apply elsewhere in any internships of thier choice.
Placement Experience
The companies come yearly for both internships and jobs. Recently a senior from our college got a package of 40lpa. The placement seasons are good to watch how seniors work hard for it all years. And when they finally ace it that's the moment of celebration.
College Events
The annual tech fest of NIT DURGAPUR is AAROHAN the the second largest techno- management fest in North-eastern India. There is a central library and even in this online era the soft copies of the books were available.The clubs of the college organise various events around the year to maintain enthusiasm.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being a government college, a lot of concessions are given in fee to students of lower class and lower middle class. There are state scholarship that people can avail it by verification of documents.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is quite soothing, two big grounds named lords and ovals exist where one can play anything of thier choice. People inclined towards sports can go for Inter NIT games. The wifi facility is quite good in the labs and library comparing to other parts of the campus.
Admission
No GD , Interview but there was a written test the 2nd most prestigious examination after UPSC i.e., JEE MAINS. The process is quite simple the aspirants get ample of chances to crack the examination. We just have to sit for the examination score some good marks and then just after sit for JOSSA councelling and there you go.
