Remarks

This was the only University where I could get the course wanted where it was one of the top NITs. However, upon joining I realised that I might have made a mistake ,but I definitely have developed a lot of social skills and exposure as I come from south and the place was very new to me. On the other hand, I realised that there are professors who are not up to the expected level, and are playing favourites. But giving feedback on it does nothing.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course as I have a deep interest in Robotics, and mechanical engineering is the closest I can choose for bachelors. The student ratio is about 75:1. The quality of some teachers are mediocre while the others are pretty good. the grading is NOT relative, not even remotely which is disappointing, and the exam dates aren't placed well.

Internships Opportunities

4

My internship was a research fellowship in IIT indore with Professor Anand Parey. There are also companies that come for internships. My project was studying the noise and vibration of an Electrical vehicle and methods to control it.The tasks I had to do was to analyse data and write a review and research proposal for further research on what I personally found was worth exploring.

Placement Experience

4

There's plenty of Job opportunities and the placement percentage is pretty high.companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Price water Cooper, Deloitte, etc come with offers , some which go up to 44 lpa. The average is around 6-10 lpa. I plan to work in the company that I got placed after the degree

College Events

4.5

There are many clubs at campus, but there is a clear dominance of tech related clubs like coding, enginnering, etc. There's tennis, Cricket, football, basketball, and many more, with inter college teams too . Every hostel has a game room. The library however has only books related to engineering or curriculum books, and no other ones.classroms have a projector, board and mic.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study 4 years would essentially be about 6 lakhs, hostels included. I have not applied, therefore do not know of any scholarships. On campus jobs are plenty and you have a lot of opportunities. I am not at liberty to reveal the amount offered in jobs but they are sufficient

Campus Life

4.5

There's no general campus wifi, however there is WiFi in the library and all hostels. The library is big with 3 floors and had a recent renovation. There's good equipment in the lab but most of them are outdated. However, the College has recently opened a 3d printing lab too.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The first year hostel stay is decent but the food is horrible. The successive years have much better food. The room has a wardrobe, a bed, table, chair and table lamp. 3 people will be in a room with one of the above mentioned things each.the toilets are 4 large bathrooms per floor, around 5-6 toilets in each bathroom. The hostel is extremely cheap and affordable.

Admission

No interview was taken. Entrance is purely based in marks. You just have a few formalities to complete before admission.Make sure you bring the required documents .

I chose this course because I saw the potential in the course for a better and precise future since hospital management is overall management and administration is a part of management. The college provided us 2 internships which really helps us to gain exposure in practical life.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
