I love engineering. With my rank I was getting NIT Durgapur and Iiest shibpur. I preferred NIT. Mechanical branch here is good and many scholars are graduating every year. Admission process was conducted by NTA. For selecting colleges I referred to college dunia and shiksha.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in design and automobiles so I chose mechanical. Faculty members are very experienced and rich in knowledge. Faculty student ratio is 1:80. Faculties are highly qualified ranging from IITs, NITs and notable foreign universities. Most of them have valuable industry exposures. Teaching method of most professors are good except few. Few of them make it really interesting.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are good for coding branches. For core it's very less. Stipend is around 30k. Projects can be done under various college professors and from industry and other colleges also
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. Companies like microsoft, adobe, amazon, de shaw, wells fargo, Hero, L&T, ABG, Tata etc visit every year with total offers more than 500. Highest package touches 40lpa and average stays near about 7lpa. Every year 75 percent students get placed.
College Events
Campus life is like heaven. Plenty of extra curricular activities like sports, drama, music which will keep you jolly after rigorous class hours. Excellent library facility with it being recently renovated. E learning resources are also provided. Classrooms are spacious but in summer you will have a bit of difficulty.
Fees and Financial Aid
For general students fees are sky touching. For other category students its fine. Many international colleges offer scholarships during the course. Campus jobs are good considering recent pandemic. Financial assistance is there for students who are economically backward.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is top notch. Student activity center was setup where all the activities take place. Ground, nescafe, food services are available inside the campus. Every hostel is provided with 24*7 wifi or broadband. Library is huge. Labs are also upto the mark .
Hostel Facilities
Yes I jabe opted for hostel. Hostel experience is the best one in college life. Every room has 3 students with almirah, chair and table for each of them. Registration will be done on the admission day and is a smooth process. Mess food is good .
Admission
No there have been no such activities taken place. Completely based on your rank in jee mains. Test pattern consists of 90 questions and time is 3 hours.
