Remarks

Good NIRF ranking, better than average placement percentage and the multinational companies that hire a good amount of students and the coding culture here made me opt it out of the colleges that were available to me

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Professors are mostly Bengali who teach like a typical strict professor especially in the electrical departmentThere course curriculum is not to hectic but the number of assignment and lab reports that we need to submit in any semester is too muchCoding culture in our college is very good, many students are even 6 star kn codechef and candidate master/expert on codeforces

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Many companies visit for giving internship opportunities as well after which they offer PPO also like Microsoft, Adobe, JPMC, Wells Fargo, etc.

Placement Experience

3

The training and placement cell does a good job in our college inviting most of the multinational companies and many start-ups as wellStudents of CS, ECE and EE department are open to all IT jobs and other departments gets to sit in almost half of the IT sector companiesMany companies visit for giving internship opportunities as well after which they offer PPO also like Microsoft, Adobe, JPMC, Wells Fargo, etc

College Events

3

Social life at campus is very goodThe restrictions on students is way too less compared to other NITs We can pursue our hobbies in many sport like many of my friends do.We can also associate ourselves with clubs to enhance our skills like management, leadership and teamwork. Many hostels are quite old but tough, but some new hostels as well as much infrastructure is quite new and looks splendid. We also have canteens at many spots in college where we can chill with friends

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is around 70000 INR tuition fees and 1200 INR hostel fees for each semesterStudents whose annual family income is less than 5 lakh avail 66% rest on tuition fees and with family income less than 1 lakh have a minimal tuition fees. We can also avail education loans from the bank.Almost all the students get placed from campus recruitment drives, so there is a future financial security as well

Campus Life

4.5

Library is the one place where we can go and have peace, we have a newly built library with fully air conditioned rooms and high wifi network speed. We have sport facilities for many spots like cricket, basketball, football, hockey, etc.Labs are things which need improvement as they are quite old with equipment of stone age.Overall the campus infrastructure is above par.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facility is very goodThe cleaning staffs keeps the hostel clean even after we make a mess at many places.Mess food is below par.We have a common hall at each floor in new hostels and lifts too.

Admission

No there is nothing like any group discussion or interview for admissionWe just need to secure a good performance in JEE main which is the only huge barrier for the admission

I chose this course because I saw the potential in the course for a better and precise future since hospital management is overall management and administration is a part of management. The college provided us 2 internships which really helps us to gain exposure in practical life.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
