Remarks

Connectivity between my homecity and the city where my college is located is good, the college has a beautiful campus and a quite decent to say placement record. The research internship opportunity from this college is high although I could not get any offer.Research and lab infrastructure should be improved but at present it is good to go.These are the reasons I put this college in my counselling list and then a seat in this college was allotted to me by JOSAA.The mess food is awful.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Since my childhood days I wanted to pursue the field of CSE or Electronics. During the counselling I selected the cse and ece courses of NIT's and was allotted my current course by JOSAA during the counselling rounds. So in general the faculty student ratio is 1:70. The professors are highly qualified with PhD and some also being post doctorate. They are also members of many noted science and engineering organisations in India and abroad. Some of the professors teach exceptionally well and also it is difficult to grab concepts from the teaching of some other professors. The term exams are conducted at a duration of one and a half months and the difficulty of clearing those examinations varies from professors to professor.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

No

Placement Experience

4

This year placement offers have surged in number. There are some students who would go for higher studies, some into MBA programmes while others may get a job through ppo, off campus or sit for government jobs. So the placement percentage if you ask is somewhat around 65-75 percent considering the factors above. Various MNC come at our college for internship and placements.

College Events

5

There are many societies in our insitute and so a large number of fests are conducted all throughout the year. Aarohan-The Annual Techno Management fest is the2nd largest techno management fest of Eastern India and the largest festof our college, it is held for four days during any time in the months of March and April. Our college has a huge library and recently a new section in the library was inaugurated . A wide range of books and journals from various fields of study and domain are available but the quantity of each book is quite less compared to the number of students in a batch. Two stadiums for students to play sports and one field for faculties to perform extracurricular activities. Also have courts for other outdoors sports. Two auditorium for cultural events and seminars. There are many clubs in our college that organizes various technical, business, entrepreneurship, comedy, cultural events along with organizing the fests all throughout the year.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college has two large stadiums for the students to play sports and for hosting Inter NIT sport tournaments along with having basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis courts. The other field is alotted to the faculties for their extra curricular activities. There are also playing grounds in front of every hostels . We have an all campus wi-fi and the net speed is suitable for doing things over the internet. We also have a huge library. For some departments the lab equipments are new and are more in number and for some they are old.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Taking hostel is mandatory in our insitute. The freshman year hostels for boys and girls are too good with big rooms and well cleaned corridors along with lush green stretch of land in front. It also has basketball, volleyball court. But the senior year hostels are quite bad with too old hostels and rooms from the 60's era. The corridors and washrooms are cleaned frequently in every hostels. The food quality is below par than homemade foods (obviously) but is eatable except sometimes. The quantity of food given is also not sufficient. The registration and fee payment for the hostel is done during the admission process. And for wvery semester a hostel charge has to be paid by the students.

Admission

For admission in undergraduate courses no such things are done. But for admission to M.Tech and PhD courses candidate have to go through interviee processes.

I chose this course because I saw the potential in the course for a better and precise future since hospital management is overall management and administration is a part of management. The college provided us 2 internships which really helps us to gain exposure in practical life.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
