Remarks
Here placement is really good specially in mechanical engineering (which was my favourite branch before starting of the 3rd semester lol). Cultural and technical events build the enthusiasm in students. Hostels and mess are quite decent. Students even come from bangladesh which makes a good diversity. And it is not too far from my home and I am also getting a NIT tag.
Course Curriculum Overview
Specially in Mechanical Engineering, most of the professors are upto the mark. 3 continuous assessments make the curriculum little hectic for the students. Some faculties just want to show that they have done phd so while others are always ready to help you. Extra classes will make you unhappy here.
Placement Experience
Big MNCs come here for the recruitment. Few PSUs also offer placements. More than 150 good companies including Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Adobe, TATA group, LnT, CESC, IOCL, Oracle, Qualcomm, Samsung, Jio offer placement for the students. Few mass recruiters are also there. Students get internships mostly in their third year of the course. Many students opt for higher studies. Average Package is more than 10 lakh and highest package reaches 44 lakh.
College Events
Look, we are still hadn't go to the college yet due to pandemic. But as per I know, infrastructure is great and still under improvement. There is so many clubs and anyone can join them after few steps of auditions and as per their interests.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total tuition fee is 62500. But if your family income is below 1 lakh or you are from sc or st category, you will be getting full fee remission. If your family income ranges between 1-3 lakh, 2/3 of your tuition fee will be omitted. Hostel and mess charges are same for every candidate.
Campus Life
186 acres green campus with beautiful buildings, a duck pond, a huge library, big hostels, jhoops and restaurants. Labs are awesome. Students enjoy high speed wifi network in the campus. And also it is situated in a grown city so everything is available.
Hostel Facilities
We are still doing online classes, so don't know much about it. But hostel is compulsory here and fee is also affordable. In mess, non-veg items are good and hygienic, some vegetarian students from other states may face issues.
Admission
We just had to appear for the JEE Main exam and need to have good percentile in it. After that we had to go through 6 rounds of JOSAA counselling. Apart from this we also needed some documents.
