The college takes in around 1k students in each year in the undergraduate course , which consists of multiple courses like chemical, cse, ece, mechanical, electrical etc. It also offers dual degree courses in various departments.Regarding academics we have regular labs , we have well equipped classrooms , halls, laboratories etc to fulfill the needs of an undergraduate student to learn and achieve something.There are mid term and end term exams with difficulty varying for each subject.If you fail and examination you have to give supplementary exams until you pass in the subjects, in short by the end of your college life you have to have passed in all the subjects to receive a degree.

The students get eligible in their final year for the placement , multiple companies like amazon , google , goldman sachs , microsoft , pwd , tata , rhodic etc come for placements. The college has a placement of 75 percent.

The annual technical fest of NIT DGP is known as AAROHAN which is among the top techno management fests in EASTERN INDIA, it occurs in march. The annual cultural fest is called NITYAMINI, it occurs by the end of April. For the books and journals the college has a huge library with vast amount of shelves covering various domains. The classrooms are well equipped for smart education with projectors ,mics, screens and a sitting capacity of 150 for a normal classroom. The college offers various sports for recreation and competition by participating in ALL INDIA INTER NIT COMPETITIONS, each hostel has separate sports courts. The college provides top quality equipments to play or practice with.The college has many technical and non technical clubs and social groups like the SAE- society of automotive engineers , dance club , ieee , nss etc. For their websites you just need to google their name and you ll find them at top.

The fee structure is based on semester wise payment, due to the scholarships provided by the government, people belonging to communities like sc, st, obc, pwd or ews get fee waivers to increase its affordability.The college has a pretty good placement record with a 75% placement overall and some branches having placement percent more than 88. Many companies with varied packages come offer jobs in the college.

The college has significant infrastructure with multiple grounds, student activity centres, halls, multiple academic blocks and what not. It has a wide coverage of wifi in hostels labs and library, library is a wide 2 storey building, the labs have up to date equipments.

Their are a total of 14 hostels in NIT DGP. The hostels accommodate around 600 students, they have large and spacious rooms with large corridors and elevators Their are multiple common recreation halls in each hostel. The food is tidy and nice. Their is hostel accommodation fees is sponsored by the government so it is free for all but you only need to pay a meagre amount for mess charges. Private accommodation is not allowed by the college, all students need to reside in hostels.

Generally the interviews consist of multiple rounds with for software companies it starts with a coding round , I havent appeared for an interview yet.
