Remarks

It was among the national college and I worked for the national college. These college was nearer to me and among the top nits of india. I have heard alot about the college and it's educational quality was known.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I love to be learning chemistry. These course provide me a great variance of physics as well as chemistry. Faculties were always there for supporting us. Even in online classes they try to interact as much as they can. Their teaching method is good.

I am trying for various internship opportunity aw well as inn and off campus.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunity for technical branch are much more tahn that of core branches. Core company also come for campus placement. Big company like amazon , wipro, jpm, cabbzamine and many core companies also come for placement.

College Events

Life at campus was enjoyable but due to covid it's totally shattered. The freedom we get their the lifestyle was good but from last 2 years, we were back to our home . Clubs were supportive and helps in indulging varios activity. Sports and extracurricular activities were good. There was ground as well as gym faciltiy for the student .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is normal which is affordable as well. Scholarship opportunity are provided and time to time college provide us with information about them. Various companies visit campus regularly and have a good placement offers.

Campus Life

Campus is well full fledge and a wide area is there where we can roam around . Library facility available nearly till midnight 12 and wifi connection in hostel aa well as library is good enough for studying and other facilities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility was good. A big hostel with a comfortable life style where we can do what we want. Mess facility was also good enough for survival. Even we used to roam around hostel at any time . Sometimes guard use to be strict and in time was a little bit problem for us.

Admission

No gd or interview. It is fully written entrance test where 10+2 subjects based questions were taken. Topics of physics , chemistry and maths were taken for examination

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for.
