The tag of National Importance i.e NIT was the most important factor that made me to choose this college . Also the institute located is in west bengal that is in my hometown so that I can travel easily to my home.
Course Curriculum Overview
As my course is Biotechnology Engineering and I choose this course according to my joint Entrance rank. I came to hear that I can do coding in college and also I can crack any of the product based company. Branch doesn't matter many of the senior passout told me .So that I choose this course and doing coding along with this course.

Placement and job opportunities are also well . It consists highest package of 33 LPA and average package is 9.09 LPA . The college is among top 10 NIT and it is ranked 46th among all College of India Rated By NIRF. So big companies come and offer high packages .some masa recruiter companies also come and took the students mainly the college placement is about 80%.
College Events
The college consists various clubs , societies ,like Society of Automotive Engineer's NIT Durgapur Chapter, CCA, Dance club, Maths and Tech club , Dramatic Club, and etc.Campus Life is also too good as I lived in campus only 1 year because of Covid and lockdown we have to return back our home . So as far as I saw in 1 year campus life is very well for 2nd 3rd and final year students , 1st year students are not permitted to go out after 6pm in the beginning of their college life atleast 6 months , otherwise all the year students are free to rome in the college , Night out , hang out in the campus all the night.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is such as Institute Fee 81300 Rs. which including caution money = 5000, one time fee (per semester) = 8500 Tution Fee (per semester ) = 62500 other fee per semester = 5300The total fees structure is divided into 3 parts such as if a student is Sc/st/ph then his 100% tution fee will be waived.If a student's family is less than 1 lakh his total tution fee will be waived. If a student's family income is in between 1 lakh to 5 lakh per annum then his 2/3rd of the tution fee for general and obc student will be waived.

Campus is too large 200 Acer of Area it consists. Campus has 1 SAC i.e Student Activity Center, 2 Play Grounds named Lords and Oval , 1 basket ball court, 1 tennis court, 1 Handball court, 1 JIM , 1 Medical Hospital, 2 Academic Building , 1 Seminar House which has the capacity of 2000 people, 14 Hostels , 1 Library ,1 Nescafe , 1 Cafeteria, 1
Hostel Facilities
For hostel Total amount is 27300 Rs. Per semester such as Hostel caution money 5000 Rs. (One time, Refundable)Hostel Seat Rent 4000 Rs./ SemElectricity Charge 1500 Rs. / SemOther Fees 1800 Rs / Sem Mess Advance 15000 Rs / semHostel facility is also very good in first year 3 student in one room is allowed and every room has wifi connection . In 2nd year and 3rd year 3 student per room is allocated and in final year single room will be provided .In first year WiFi connection is little slow but other than 1st year it is very fast.
Admission
Yes we faced Joint Entrance Examination exam (Main) for Admission in this college. The exam was of consists 3 papers Physics Chemistry and Mathamatics all are of 90 marks each with negative marking .
