Remarks
The factors that made me to choose this Institute is the infrastructure and location of the institute and also the placement statistics. Institute also has good faculty who can be the mentor for you if you a have a good relationship with them. And also we can explore the culture of West Bengal if we are not from West Bengal. While coming to the aspect of food is not that much good and also notuch worst it is ok. Like what if happens every where whether you go to any NIT Or IIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have interest in the field of mechanical so you choose this course. And also the faculty for mechanical engineering are good and the way of teaching is nice that we can easily understand the complex things also. If we concentrate on the studies and if we maintain a good attendance we can easily get over the line of exams

Placement statistics are different for different branches but all are satisfying for majority of the students. Like wise 83-85 % of students from CSE gets placed and 74-76%of students from mechanical gets placed, 65-67% from chemical, 60-65%from metallurgy and material science, 80% from ECE, 75%from EEE, are getting placed and it is a good college in terms of placements offered
College Events
College life at NIT -DURGAPUR is quite good. Aarohan-the annual techno management fest of NIT durgapur. The books and journals in the library are very much satisfying we can find a pleasant atmosphere there. The sports are one of the major reason for the students to get relief and we can find different types of sports in NIT Durgapur. There are different types of clubs like SAE, SPIC MACAY,CCA, LITERACY CIRCLE, MUSIC CLUB, DANCE CLUB, MNTC. where you can join in more than one club and also where you can find yourselves and explore yourselves
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is based on the parents annual income and it is very helpful for the students who are poor. It will offer different type of scholarships like merit based and also residential scholarships
Campus Life
The infrastructure is quite good. Here we can get good sports facilities . there is same opportunity for both both girls and boys . The internet facility is also good and also the library is large enough such that all the students gets satisfied.
