Remarks

Top college and good education . It is near my home town and most of my classmates are there.It also has good infrastructure and also good placement . Got this through csab and took because I was getting my choice of branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is one of the top branch, 1:90 I am not sure but teachers highly qualified and exam are conducted with a gap of approximately 2 weeks. Intial exam are good but end are tough. But overall it is good.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Didn't applied for internship but a good internship are being provided according to particular skills projects are given and I don't know much about it

Placement Experience

From 3rd semester student become eligible for campus placement there are many companies do visit but companies Tata Reliance also visit the highest package is around 48 lacs and it was given to a Cs student the percentage of students getting place is around above 70% my plans after getting your degree is having good job and then applying for higher studies

College Events

There are many annual fest but it is not known to me. Books and journal are available online . Extra curricular activities like yoga was added in semester and exam were also held. Since online classes no sports held. I am in EDC club and there others club like music , literature, dance etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Did not took any job , doesn't know no that much about fee structure but fees is above 1 lakh and is divided semester wide . Didnt took any scholarship and didn't apply for any internship for now.

Campus Life

I just know a brief info about infrastructure that we have a good infrastructure and there are libraries and I am sure that Wi-Fi would be also present their. sports Grounds are also maintain properly

Hostel Facilities

Sorry to tell you but didn't went to hostel. Hostel are been allotted and I think but facilities would be good It was pre decided for boys and since online class no hostel fees were taken . I haven't shifted to a rented room.

Admission

There was no group discussion for the test nor any interview for it but yes written test was conducted jee for it . For jee took coaching and practiced paper .

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

LIFE AT NIT DURGAPUR

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. My Honest Review For Nit Durgapur

I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. Admission process- You will have to qualify jee mains to get admission in this college wit a rank under 50 thousand to get a goo branch.Then you will have to sit in josaa councelling then follow the next steps....Read More

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for. So the admission process is simple.You need to crack Jee Mains with a great rank to reach here.There after you need to go through the Jossa counselling and if you get a seat here you need to confirm and pay initially some fees to get a seat in this college.The overall admission experience was very much smooth because of the whole process being shifted to online and thus students do not have much difficulty....Read More
