Remarks

Good placements and student environment, Excellent faculty and also the Campus structure that is convenient for the students to manage between Hostel and Academic Building , Admission through Joint Seat Allocation Authority, Entire process started in October 2020 and lasted till November 2020.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course enlightens on Electricity and electronics and has a good range of opportunities, Student ratio is good, The faculties are very well qualified, teaching methods can be more interactive and interesting to impart more practical knowledge, the exams were held quite quickly due to reduced semester duration as the admissions were held late due to covid, Difficulty of the Exams were tough for some and moderate for others.

Class Size: 103Course Fees: INR 560000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester, companies like oracle, Microsoft, delloite, zensar, TCS and many more visit for placements.Highest package offered is 40 lpa and minimum is 3.6 lpa. In our department 75 percent students are placed. After getting the degree I would like to take up the placements and gain work experience and improve professionally.

Till now our batch has not visited campus physically so sports and Cocirricular activities have not been experienced by us, we had yoga in 2nd semester, We have many clubs in our college, I am part of Maths and Tech Club, and our club along with 4 other clubs conduct the annual tech fest, Aarohan

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is divided among Tution fee, Hostel establishment charge. Various Scholarship are present. For the students with a background of government employees can apply for a claim of certain percentage of the tuition fee of the semester provided that the student has passed all the subjects in one go.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure is good, it has sports Fascilities like cricket ground football ground volleyball court and also other basic necessities are present. Labs are well equipped, online laboratory is conducted for us and professors show us a video of physically performing those experiments in the campus lab.

Admission

There were no interview or group discussion for the test, only entrance exam that is Joint Entrance Examination. Preparation for the examination was done by coaching

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

LIFE AT NIT DURGAPUR

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. My Honest Review For Nit Durgapur

I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for.
