Course Curriculum Overview
I am in 1st year so we all have common subjects. Most of the teachers are highly qualified but not all are good teachers. Except few most of the teachers teach really well. If we talk about exams 1st-year student have their mid-term exams after 1.5 months of course start. The difficulty level of questions is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
For industrial internship companies visits the campus during 3rd year. One has to apply for an internship and have to pass the test to get the internship. Almost all top companies come to campus for internships. For further details visit the institute's website.
Placement Experience
The placement rate and average package of NIT Durgapur increasing day by day. From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement. Most of the popular companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Uber, JP Morgan etc visit our campus every year. The highest package of the 2023 batch is 70lpa and the net average package is 13.46lpa. whereas computer science has an average package of 21 lpa.

Campus Life
NIT Durgapur conducts several fests for example -1. Aarohan: The annual techno-management fest. 2. Aavishkar: The Tech Fest 3. Recstacy: The annual cultural fest. Almost all types of books are available at the central library. Also, we have access to Pearson e-library. The classrooms are huge with air conditioning and almost all modern amenities are available. There are so many clubs available at our college run by students for eg Radio Nitroz, Music club, Dance Club, Debating society, Entrepreneurship development cell etc.
Admission
To get admission to this institute, one has to take the JEE Main exam and then participate in the JoSAA and CSAB counselling. After the final branch allotment, one has to upload the documents to the online ERP portal of NIT Durgapur. After verification, one would be provided with an Online enrollment certificate and a bona fide certificate. The whole procedure would then be followed by Physical Reporting at the campus. Each and every detail regarding the admission procedure has been uploaded at nitdgp.ac.in. The application fees for this process were nullified due to the Economically weaker section reservation wherein the family income was less than 1 Lakh.
