Course Curriculum Overview
The Course is for Four Years and Eight semesters. The faculty is well versed in their subjects and possesses a good knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching. The faculties are helpful. We have a vast library with a huge content of books.
Internships Opportunities
We have Internship opportunities starting from our third year in college during that time many companies visit the campus for providing the students with internships. we also have opportunities for research in IIT s and vocational training
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty good, better than most other colleges. Average package offered is more than ten lakhs per annum. highest packages are from microsoft and atlassian , more than fifty lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for NIT Durgapur is 190000 for unsubsidized students. For partially subsidized students the fee is 70000 and for fully subsidy students have to pay 28000 in a year for four years. Students may apply for many scholarships which provide a part of the fees.
Campus Life
We have fun on campus. there is a healthy learning culture that motivates everyone to improve their skills and apply them in competitions and hackathons. we have food fests in October, tech fests in January, and cultural fest in March.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are well accomodated with good bathrooms and toilets. cleaning is done almost every day and we have electricity and water facilities 24*7. Food is somewhat healthy. we also have canteen for students not liking mess food.
Admission
For admission in National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, one must give JEE mains examinations which occur twice every year in january and may. Students are required to pass the cutoff marks in all the subjects and secure a All india Rank based on which they are allotted Colleges and Branches.
