Course Curriculum Overview
In high school i took a liking into semiconductor field that's why i choose Electronics for Under Graduate , Faculty : Students ratio in ECE Department of NIT Durgapur is around 1:15 , most of our faculty members had done their Phd from prestigious institutes , each semester there are 2 main exams , midterm (after 2 months of semester start) and endterm(after 4 months) if you had attended classes properly you will excel in exams .
Internships Opportunities
Many big tech firms offers internships at our campus like Microsoft , Amazon , Samsung , Qualcomm , Texas Instruments etc stipends offered by these firms are quite fascinating for students like it's around 1 lakh per month for two month internships , also students will get oppurturnity for going in 6 months internships .
Placement Experience
From 5th semester you will be allowed to sit for Internships and from 7th semester placements will start . Every year more than 130 companies visit the campus and more than 700 offers were made . Highest Package - 52 LPA Average Package - 12 LPA Percentage - >85% Major Recruiters - Microsoft , Flipcart , Oracle , JP Morgan , Samsung
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees - GEN - RS 76000 per semester OBC/EWS(<5LPA Family income ) - RS 35000 per semester (< 1 LPA Family income) - RS 15000 per semester SC/ST - RS 15000 per semester every available scholarship will be offered by the college ex NSP , OAISIS etc
Campus Life
Annual Fest - RECSTACY (March) Tech Fest - AAROHAN(February) There are various clubs and societies for every kind of students also every year annual sports fest is organised and you will get oppurturnity to go play in other NITs
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are well maintained and furnished , for 1st year students 1 room will be alloted to 2 students , from 2nd year onwards it 3 persons per room , Food quality is above satisfactory level and menu is pretty diverse . Registration of Hostels will be done on reporting (RS 19000 per Semester)
Admission
Eligibility of the Course : 75% in PCM (10th + 12th) (GEN+OBC + EWS) / 65% for SC AND ST candidates + JEE MAIN Qualified after you have qualified in JEE MAINS examination you have to sit for JOSAA Counselling, According to your rank in JEE MAINS you will fill choices in JOSAA , JOSAA will conduct 7 rounds of councelling . JOSAA will provide the Application form to you , then you have to report to the college you had been offered . Application fees : 75000 , Application dates : JULY to DECEMBER
