Detailed review of NIT DURGAPUR by a student

Electronucs and Communication is the second best branch in NIT Durgapur. I was not Interest in computer and have a passion in learnig electronics circuit. The placement is also good in these branch, Having a average package of 15lpa. In our department there is many great professors which are very friendly and easy to talk and share problem releated to academics as well as personal. They are very good mentor. I am very luck to have such great professors. The student ratio is 3:2. Boys : girls. the professors are highly qualified , everyone holding a PhD degree. In each semister 2 exam is conducted, one is mid term and another is the final semister exam.

More the 20 students got intership in microsoft with a stipend of 1 lakh. Amazon also took 12 students with a stipend of 80 thousand. There are many more intership companies. All companies cannot be named but internship opportunity is good.

The placements in NIT Durgapur is good. 85percent student gets placed in some of the reputed companies. Big MNC's example Microsoft, Morgan Stanly, Jp Morgan, Amazon, Flipkart visits and take many students. There are many statup company comes. Placement for core branch is also good. Many PSU's take student from on campus placement. After getting a B.Tech degree I will be joinning a company.

For general candidate the fees for college each semester is 75000. and Mess fees is 19000. And the fees structure varies according to the caste. For OBC the collage fees is around 35000 . and for SC/ST it is 13000. not only that for students whose family income is less also get the scholarship. The fees for students whose family income is less than 1 lakh per year is 13000 and for family income less than 5 lakh is 35000. The mess fees is same for everyone. Students can get any scholarship available if they fall under the bracade.

The annual fest is named RecStacy. It is the cultaral fest of our collage. There are many more fest. The tech Fest that is the technical fest where each students build something innovative . These is called Arohan. Both the fest is conducted once in a year in the month of february to march. NIT Durgapur has one of the largest library. The building is a 3 story. completely filled with books of different kind. also have place to study . The almost consist of every book needed. There are sports scocity. All games are played by the students. It also have many clubs having different interest.

our campus have multiple hostels. the girls hostels are seperated. For each year students the hostels allocated is different. most of the hostels are newly made. Except for the 3rd year btech and 4th year btech boys hostels . 3 students are allocated each room which consist of 3 beds 3 cuboard,and 3 table chair. The mess food is good. Gives 3 times meal ... that is for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And a special deinner is organised each week on the wednesday dinner. Each hostel have a common room... which have many indoor games and a television where everyone watch games together.

I have given the jee mains exam. the sat for JoSAA councilling to get any College of National Interest. It consist of seven rounds. According to my rank i was alloted NIT Durgapur, in west bengal which is also my home state. and with consicutive rounds of the process the branch in which i got selcted is Electronics and Communication .
