Course Curriculum Overview
Our college's curriculum is excellent, and I'd rate it a solid 9 out of 10. It's developed by experts within our institution and includes additional tech-related activities to enhance our learning experience. With two semesters annually, each semester features a mid-term exam. Staying on top of lectures and daily assignments makes tackling these exams quite manageable.We receive the timetable well in advance, and exams are scheduled either in the morning or afternoon. Each exam lasts for 3 hours.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees for our college remain consistent across all branches and academic years, fixed at 62,500 INR per semester and 5 lakhs for the entire graduation program. For the first semester, the total fee sums up to approximately 1,15,000 INR, followed by around 83,000 INR for subsequent semesters. This fee covers hostel charges of 7,000 INR, mess fee of 20,000 INR, and other miscellaneous fees including medical, library, and computer fees. Students have the opportunity to avail education loans, as they are readily accessible here. Although there are no on-campus part-time job opportunities, the college offers scholarships based on merit, as well as reservation-based scholarships. Some notable scholarships include the All India National Scholarship and the Vivekanand Scholarship.
Campus Life
The campus life at our college is amazing. Even though it's not very big, we have great facilities. We've got different auditoriums, playgrounds, and a cool indoor stadium called SAC auditorium. Our campus also has a peaceful duck pond, perfect for hanging out in the evenings. Our library is a big deal too, with tons of books and fast WiFi. It's open from early morning till late at night, so everyone can find a time to study. Besides studying, we have lots of sports events, including some fun eSports tournaments. And there's more! Our college has lots of clubs for different interests, like tech stuff, arts, and culture. Plus, we have exciting festivals throughout the year, making campus life lively and enjoyable for everyone.
Admission
The admission process at NIT Durgapur involves taking entrance exams like JEE Main followed by an online application and document submission. Cut-offs vary yearly based on exam performance. Some may find competition intense, and administrative procedures can be time-consuming, but the process prioritizes fairness and transparency in candidate selection.
