- Academic curriculum are IIT level, professors are highly qualified and peaceful life at campus
- Canteen and food facilities outside mess is good and affordable rates
- Greenery of campus and peaceful working and studying environment
Dislikes
- Mess management is poor as quality and quantity of food is highly compromised
- Hostel rooms are small and not spacy and airy enough to accommodate 3 per room
- poor maintenance of building infrastrucuture such as wate coolers, fans,lights etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is oka-ish but could have been better. Introduction of additional subject including CV making and career development insights should be introduced. Exam timings are fine but gaps between consecutive exams should be increased to reduce academic burden and overload.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are huge as lot of core and tech companies hire students. Online assessment test followed by aptitute rounds and final HR interview. Roles-software development,data analyst,consultancy Projects are must to include in CV as HR interviews are mostly based on project work. Good command on coding ,decent CGPA and well-to-do development projects are enough to land you an internship under a good company,offering a handsome amount.
Placement Experience
Placements start from 7th semester onwards. Software domain placewments are very nice in NIT DGP. Companies such as MS,Adobe,Accenture,Wells Fargo,JPMC,Texas Instruments and many more hire candidates. Total offers made last academic year was 578. Core placements are good as well in Electronics(my department).Companies such as Intel,Nvidia,Qualcomm, Samsung(RnD) hire students from circuital branches. I am solely focussed on campus placements in software developmment role ,offering a decent package.
Fees and Financial Aid
total tuition fees for B.Tech is around 76300 per semester and Rs.19000 for mess and an additional rs.5000 for hostel. Campus Placement opportunities are very nice and percentage of students placed in software domains is better than most other colleges.Internship opportunities are also available with stipends starting from Rs.10000 to Rs. 100000 per month
Campus Life
Annual Tech Fest- Aarohan Annual Cultural fest- Recstacy Central library with books covering every domain of engineering and outside(Literature,Humanities,Business Administration and many more) Smart classrooms with projectors,emphasis on visuals and animated slides Clubs in our college include Music Club,Dance Club,E-cell,Robo Cell,Recursion(Coding club),GLUG(Tech club),SPIC MACAY,ISTE ,PRAKRITI etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostel and mess fees per sem-Rs.24000 (approx) HOstel rooms include 3 beds ,1 ceiling fan,3 almirahs,3 chairs and tables.Overall experinece-Decent Mess food-not upto mark in terms of quality and quantity.Food scandals frequently occurs as mess committee is fraud. Canteens outside mess are decent and offers good quality food at decent rates
Admission
For B.Tech candidates: they need to appear for JEE Mains exam After results are declared,cancidates need to participate in JOSAA counselling process Choice filling has to be done on the preference of streams and colleges College and stream is alloted based on ranks obtained in JEE Mains examination.
Faculty
1:5 faculty to student ratio in our batch ECE'25. Professors are highly qualified and excellent teaching faculties. Labs and regular classes are good and students get to learn in depth using simulations and practicals
