Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was very well designed and was up to date .But maybe they could include a wider range of subjects for the open and depth electives . Including subjects relevant to current day demand could be better.
Placement Experience
Placements were usually very good of like almost around 90-95% of the department would get placed but due to recession during our batch the placement of our department has fallen to 70%.Microsoft usually visits us for both full time and internship along with PPO but this year the full time hiring was frozen so they could only provide PPOs .
Fees and Financial Aid
I belong to general category.So I had to pay about 76k to 77k each semester.Other categories had a reduced amount of fee . There were no other type of fees to be paid to the college except hostel fees of around 15-20k per semester and caution fees(institute caution fee-5k & hostel caution fee-5k).
Campus Life
We have many clubs and societies in our college which you could and enjoy a lot .We have a technical fest called Aarohan and cultural fest recstacy also a food fest .But due to few issues recstacy was not conducted last year .Library has almost all the books you would need in the curriculum so that's good.The facilities in the New academic building are great but in the main academic building they are really bad.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels provided for girls have good infrastructure and recently build buildings.The same can't be said for the boys hostels except hall 14.Our hostel was around 15-20k.The food was not the best and could very well improve the quality but they won't.For girls hostel you would be sharing your room with 2 other students They are 2 fans ,3 tables and 3 almaris in the room.
Admission
The eligibility is to qualify and get required rank in Jee mains exam .I have also written TS EAMCET and got admission in osmania university in ECE.But I wanted to wanted to go to a NIT so I chose this college
Faculty
There are about 15-20 professors in our department for about a 100 students.Most facilities are available during the working hours in the department building if they don't have lectures.They are very approachable.We have mids and sem exams along with lab exams.The exams are not too difficult if you have prepared enough.
Interview Experience
There were no group discussion or interviews for admission . Only criteria was getting enough rank in Jee mains in their category to get seat in the college.We get the seat through counselling held for NITs, IITs and IIITs.
Night Life
The college main gate is closed at 10:30 pm after which to enter you need to give your details.The boys hostels don't have any restrictions but for girls hostel the gate closes at 11:30 but you can enter by writing down your details.Most canteens are closed by 10 but you can order food and get it.
