I feel so proud to be here and the faculty are just superb and awesome.
Thd placement in my college is pretty good in my branch the average package is ruppees 2500000 per annum many of big companies like microsoft, atlasian, amazon, google, wipro etc visits here for giving good placements
Even if bit mesra is a gift but still the fee structure is slightly more than other gifts on the other hand category scholarship, state scholarships and merit cum scholarships are also there for good and bright students.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is very bad they are very rude they don't listen to anyone else.
The mess fees quality is very bad and students prefer to eat outside
Some faculty members are very educated and experienced but some of them have absolutely no knowledge they have just got the degree are just there to disturb students.

Life at bit mesra

Likes

Hostel are well maintained and regular maintenance takes place
Mess menu are decided by students and taste is good
Campus is full of greenery and buildings

Dislikes

Fees is very high as compared to other colleges
Rate of interest is low Although it provides a good package but fees is very high
Coding culture is not that much compared to nits

Placement is the reason why I have chosen this college. I am in mechanical branch which is core side . And I found this college provides avg package of 11-12 lpa to core branches which is good as many nits are not providing..here cse placement is around 20 lpa

Likes

Campus life in BIT MESRA is very good, you can easily make good friends.The campus is beautiful with trees everywhere and sunsets in BIT MESRA are breathtaking.Classrooms are comfortable with AC, labs and libraby are well equipped.

Dislikes

Faculty and professors and sometimes be challenging at BIT MESRA some teachers are strict.Attendance policy is very strict mandatory 75% attendance.

Placement Experience:

Placements is BIT MESRA is good in circuital branch, many companies such as INFOSYS, MICROSOFT, DELLOITE, GOLDMAN-SACHS, etc visit the campus duringthe placement season.Student also get many opportunities for internships.AVERAGE PACKAGE in CSE is around 15LAC and in non-circuital branches is around 10LAC.Students often go for higher studies.

Likes

student: they are very helpful and friendly
faculty : very knowledgeable and practical minded and always ready to contribute in student's development
lush green campus and scenic beauty of the location

Dislikes

I didn't like the high fees of the course
I also didn't like the hostel here , they are very old and dirty
Hectic time table and class hour and frequent examination

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mathematics and computing is relatively new course in BIT mesra. In the department teachers are very friendly and helpful and ready to cater student needs and their teaching methods are very affective It is easy pass exams but to score good cgpa you need to devote time to your studies

My experience in BIT MESRA ranchi.

Likes

I liked the greenery of our campus and fresh air here.
I liked the senior junior culture of my clg as its very interactive.
I liked the events which happens here as they are very joyful and we get too kucht o explore.

Dislikes

I didn't liked the high cost of college fees.
I didn't liked the hostel Life that much here.
I didn't liked the hectic schedule of college examination.

Placement Experience:

Placement for my branch is very nice here as avg placement is 23Lac median is 19lac and highest is 51lac for k23 passout .but due to recession this year seniors are facing many problems and as year by year clg is increasing their seats so that's too a problem let us see what will happen in the future.

Pros and Cons of BIT Mesra

Likes

The lush green campus and the river side view.
The behaviour of the Professors and the high tech classrooms
The placements of Bit and the behaviour of our seniors

Dislikes

The timings of library are not flexible
The fests are also finished before 9:00pm

Placement Experience:

From the end of 4th semester, Students are eligible for internships and from the end of 6th semester, Students are eligible for placements . The placements of Bit is very good and the average package of Cse is around 22.4 lpa and highest package of last year is 51 lpa.

Truth about BIT MESRA

Likes

The senior are very supportive. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus. Seniors are too welcoming , eager to help you.
Teacher are too experienced in their field .
College location is good . With two river inside the campus.

Dislikes

City life is missing in bit mesra . You don't many hangout places outside the campus
Hostel food can be awful sometimes. So select your mess committee accordingly
Die to recession placement are affected very badly this year.

You can sit for placement in your last year. Training and placement cell of BIT is good but this year due to recession placement are not upto marks. Last year the placements were good . On my course around 70% people get placed on avg of around 17 lacs per annum

All about BIT mesra.

Likes

Campus is very beautifull and lush green.
Campus is equipped with all types ammenities such as fruit store ,tailor and various food outlets.
Campus has good sports fascility and sports complex has variety of games.

Dislikes

All the stores gets closed by 11PM te nights.
Their are no noghts canteens availbale in the campus
Campus is almost 15 km away from the main town ranchi.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from 4th year for they can get a pre placement offer in 3rd year. A lot of companies visit the campus from Atlassian to Intel. Details of this year placement are not available yet. After getting the degree I would either take a job or opt for higher studies.

Likes

Classroom is big and we have projector so it is easy for us to understand.
Lab classes helps us in getting the practical knowledge
We have a very big campus,and so good for evening walk

Dislikes

There is no fencing of college boundary .
We have to share a room . This is for the first students only
Classes for maths should be increased so that it will be helpful.

Placement Experience:

Average placement for the civil department is 10 lakhs which is comparably good from othe college .There are many companies which came like Amazon, Flipkart ,Google, etc.Highest package was 85lakhs from computer and science department .

I liked the campus with green every where and good infrastructure all around
I like the behavior of staff members who offer there service to uss
I like the course curriculum and please to have been studying in this degnified collage

Dislikes

I dont like the location of the collage as it very far from the main city
I dont like the prices of the shops as they are charging too much from students i think
Mess food is average and somethings bad so i dont like it too

As mentioned earlier the placements are great. We get placements at 7th semester some of the companies visited are google, Microsoft, mediatech, oracel, atalician, tata, hcl, infosis etc. 93 percentage of student get placeced every year I want to have a 9 to 5 job after degree for a couple of years then something of my own.

Great with opportunities

Likes

The campus is lush green with a huge campus area.
There is a wide range of branches to choose from.
There is no ragging or any such unlawful practices.

Dislikes

The hostels are separated by a large distance.
The junior senior interaction is very low .
There isn't much to dislike except for the big city culture to roam about.

The students are eligible from the 7th semester to sit in college approved placements though there can be chances to apply off campus placements much before that. Atlassian, Oracle, Texas Instruments, Tata, Adani, Reliance, Aditya Birla Group, Samsung, Microsoft, Google Qualcomm Nvidia, Mediatek, Orient and Mahindra are afew to name. Highest this year was 84.5 LPA placed in Atalassian and average was 15lpa.
