BIT Mesra Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

My college has good placement records . Circuitals branches have average placement of 20 lacs per annum my branch has 12 lacs per annum . Highest package was 98 lacs per annum for ece branch l am not sure for others but my branch that is chemical has a highest Packqge of 55 lpa for this year .

Placements here are very decent with avg cse Placements of 20lac and for mathematics and Computing avg placement is 12lac which is very decent . But skme companies here put a gender cap which means that only females can apply to those and there are some big companies which do this Like Nvidea

Campus placements as heard from the seniors is great many companies visit here and make offers the students fron 6th semester onwards are eligible for campus . The highest package offered last year for 50+ lpa.

in my opinion, the placement for the b pharm course is not that good, with about 5% of total students usually starting from 7th semester. the highest package offered in recent years has been around 6-7 lpa with avg package being approx 3-4lpa. After completing this course, my plan is to either pursue master's in pharmacy or mba or maybe gain some work experience through internships or research labs

Students are eligible in the final year and for internships they are eligible in pre final year. Microsoft, Google like companies have visited so far and percentage of placed students is 46 percent in my branch

The students here are quite competitive and skilled as far as i have seen , many of them go for off campus placements and do quite well most of the times more than the campus placement averages and ya that's a relief

Students get eligible for the placements from the 7th Semester but can get a PPO from 6th semester and other internship opportunities can be received before 6th Semester. The company which visits are FAANG companies (very less chances ),Wipro, Oracle, Hindustan Unilever,TCS, Infosys,etc(they generally give more offers) The highest package remains around 50 lakhs on campus while the average package around 17-18 lakhs for CSE. The percentage of students placed remains around 70 % . I aim to get a decent placement in a decent company and work to upskill myself after completing my degree.

If there is no campus placement then gor sure there will be not more than 50% students will get placed because of there irrelevant syllabus and course structure, google, Microsoft, jp morgan vist our college regulary. 80 to 90 % student get placed in campus placement. My plans afte getting the degree is to opt for masters in cse at iits or iisc

In the first year they teach you the same subject to all branches so first year is kind of tough from my point of view but from second year is easy as you have to study accourding to your core. If anything happens on time is the exams

Companies start visiting from 7th semester . Almost all popular companies visit BIT Mesra , most popular tech companies Popular finance companies A lot of Core companies also come to our college Name of the companies : Electro steel Goldman Sachs Google Havells IBM Intel Infosys Exide Jio JSW Microsoft Philips Oracle Reliance power Sony Tata , Tata bluescope steel , TCS , Tech Mahindra Vodafone Wipro Adani Yahoo Britannia BYJU'S Cognizant Deloitte Capgemini Digit There are over 120+ companies that recruit students from campus All these company names are available on BIT Mesra official site All branches have decent placement With minimum being around 40-50% And maximum ( mechanical ) being 80% My plans are appearing for GATE exam in 3rd year for getting into PSU's ( not considering doing MTECH ) And try to get a decent campus placement in core , I still have not developed a lot of interest in coding and tech . So trying to focus more on core placements
