NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

NIT Silchar is quite good for placements. The placement percentage of different branches is quite good. Students have to maintain around 6 to 7 CGPA to sit for placements. Around 94 percentage of this students of computer science and Engineering, 88 to 89 percentage students from electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering are able to get placement in campus. In civil and Mechanical engineering, around 85% students became able to get campus placements. The highest placements of electrical engineering, electronics and communication and some other branches where around 52 LPA last year and in CSC it was 80 LPA. Around 200 companies visit NIT Silchar for placements.

At 7th semester ie. At 4th year students are allowed to sit for placements. But they can do internships at 3rd year . They can even crack Pre placement offer if capable. Company such as ONGC, Intel, Eicher,HCL, Godrej, Indian Oil etc Height package is 52.89 LPA and average package is 13.54 LPA. 89.40% students get placed After degree I'll do Startup

The students who are in their final year of btech are eligible for campus placements.In 2024, over 200 companies visited the institute for providing placements to students which is quite a good number. A few of them were google, adobe, microsoft, amazon, goldman sachs, samsung, jio, nvidia and many more.Around 600 offers were made by the companies this year. The highest package of this year was 52 lpa and the average package was around 13 lpa.The percentage of students placed were around 80 percent. My plan after getting the degree would be to secure a placement in a reputed company with a standard package.

The placement of this college are pretty good as compared to some other National Institute of Technology The average package for Electrical engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering and Electronics and Instrumentation engineering are almost same

The employment percentage is very high in NIT silchar . The employment percentage is over 80 - 90 percentage. Those who have good CGPA .. they get easily employed. And those who have innovative ideas,they are appreciated verymuch . And many companies support their innovation ideas

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

The placement of the campus Are actually pretty good if you are interested in soft Related fields , their provide you with a lot of Opportunities for you to land yourself into the industry However , you should also work on your skills.

From 5th semester some students get internships. And from 7th semester they get placements. Highest package for 2024 was 52.89 LPA. Average - 13.5 LPA Placement percentage - 83%. Many students get placed in very good companies.

From 7 sem we are allowed to sit fir campus placements. There are companies like jubilant, axxela, etc visiting the college. The highest package goes to around 50 lac and lowest 6 lacs per annum. The percentage of students that get placed are around 80 percentage. I may go for higher study after college.

Course curriculum is very strict, a relaxation can help students in self study, attendance is mandatory for most if the courses. The curriculum is very old, compared to other private universities, which include a wide variety of latest in demand curriculum.
